Chapter 166: The Story Of Yin And The Fox Guardian {14}
It looked just like a personal study room. The space looked like a cathedral, the ceiling was well crafted with every detail, and a chandelier was suspended to it, lighted with candles, about three were also against the two sides of the wall but not as big as the one against the ceiling, it gave this atmosphere of calmness and solitude. The walls were well crafted majestically, with black wallpapers but embodied with golden design. The center had a chess color floor, it was marble, smooth, and shiny.
They both walked up to the rectangle stance that looked like an altar holding a book at the center purely black. It stood like the main function of this room, it truly is...
"The Dark Grimoire," she said with broad eyes. The exact same book, a large amount of cruelty was sealed. The cover was thick and just by feeding it with her eyes she could feel the unusual power pulsating from it, The emperor must truly be a great man to wield such a chaotic Grimoire.
He has no idea the darkness he holds, but yet maybe he does... because his darkness was a perfect mix with it. He controls the darkness.
Ava was once known as the extension of darkness too... because of her being Yin, darkness was everything about her. Maybe that was why they relate in some way.
Darkness calls Darkness.
"Now tell me little one, what answers do you seek?"
Ava wasted no time bringing out a journal. "This... I need to open it, no spell in this world can do it except this book" she points, her heart slamming in anticipation... she couldn’t wait to get the answers she sought. Aldon went through so much trouble so she can’t be wrong in the truth being here.
"Hmm," Nicklaus made a sound only, observing the Journal, it looked normal but Nicklaus could clearly see it wasn’t. Not only was the girl strange but also held something that might hold secrets no one should know.
The girl is a runaway. He knew enough now.. she ran away from home, but whatever it is there must be a strong reason why she would go this far for her answers. Even risking her life.
Ava knew Nicklaus didn’t trust her but she knew he would help her after all. The hidden look in his eyes said it all and she offered him a smile to get a reaction from him.
Seeing her cute smile, Nicklaus was forced to roll his eyes. The girl must think she is able to read him like a paper, but there was only one woman that could do that.
With a wave of his hand, the black pages flipped uncontrollably at a fast pace like the book itself searched for something. Ava was in awe once again, the book responded so well to the Emperor, she had expected it to be chaotic and hard to control but it was as if the book itself saw Nicklaus as its master.
She definitely has to make a mental note to find out how this man obtained such a book. Her eyes couldn’t keep up with the fast flipping pages, but she noticed the letters were written in gold and it reminded her of a particularly rude pretty boy.
The pages stopped flipping and stopped at a particular page.
"The Journal"
Ava raised it up to him and it floated off her grip and into the air, golden letters from the Grimore emerged and wrapped around the Journal as the spell got to work.
"What could possibly be hidden in a journal sealed by such a powerful spell?" Nicklaus said feeling its power. What was inside there was kept out of rest but nothing the Dark Grimoire cannot open. "Who does this belong to?"
"My brother," Ava said sternly, not taking her eyes off the floating wonder. "And I shall find my truth inside,"

AETHEL
"It’s not here, it’s not here!" Aldon growled that the room was a total mess, everything upside down or either broken. He has searched every single inch of this place and yet it is gone. His journal was gone!
"Aldon!" his mother snapped at her son who looked like he was on the verge of running mad, she has never seen a composed boy like this.
"Your sister is missing and we’re all worried" she began in a heavy tone. "And all you care about is your journal?" She was shocked by her son’s actions.
Getting silence in return she opened her mouth to scold the boy once again but...
"Shut up woman!" Aldon roared at her and at his words, it cut through her skin like fire and she screamed and burnt alive until her black roasted body dropped to the floor.
Aldon drew sharply on his breath and held his hair on the verge of ripping them off its roots.
"Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?!" he mumbled to himself.
Aveline was missing
His journal was missing.
"She took it!"
Damn it all!
"Aldon what have you done!" His father’s voice came, but he didn’t care, Aldon didn’t even flinch, Aveline was gone and his journal was gone too.
She will know! What was the point of everything then?! What was the point?!
Having that in mind he roared going on his knees and his powers went berserk, merging with his emotions. And the rage in his body and then... It combusted.
The fire consumed everything, roaring and taking everything down. Aldon knew better, he knew... but all that ever mattered was ’Her’ from the moment he set his silver eyes on Aveline emerging from the pit of darkness, the girl who looked at everything with such indifference and had no desire of pleasure and only balance.
The next time Aldon came back from his anger, he was heaving as he stood in nothing but destruction, everything burning and everything in ashes, the skies red like the blood and everything pulverized.
Aethel was destroyed.
