SILVER-HEART
Chapter 145: Silver Heart

Chapter 145: Silver Heart

My song Silver Heart began with basic vocalizing before I commenced with the Elven language. I closed my eyes and let the lyrics consume me in all ways, for this song wasn’t just to give a tree blessing.

I was singing it for my lost Love

It entrails about a lonely girl in the darkness, lost and lifeless to the world letting death be her best friend and awaiting it to take her for it was the only mercy she sort but then suddenly a silver blessing comes to her in disguise of darkness and pulled her out of the void into a colorful world.

The silver wasn’t just disguised in darkness but many beautiful things that grabbed the heart and soul, a slow beating heart meant to be the one holding darkness turned out to be a glimpse of silver that swallows everything into peace. It began the light in both their worlds, a feeling so icy but yet masked with a warmth that drench the very soul like a blanket.

Something that felt so real and yet so faint, a feeling able to lift your spirit and heart, imprinting it in ways that it cannot be removed. His silver love has imprinted in the girl’s heart and not even fate or destiny can erase such feeling

I inhaled sharply after finishing my song and I couldn’t stop the tears that streamed down hotly and I cried silently to myself, amidst the loud echo of applause. My shoulders shook, my head leveled, as the tears came non-stop and merged with the pain in my heart, a pain that would evenly consume me one day, for that is what I felt, I cannot live this way...

As I opened my eyes, everything was blurry and spinning, is this how it is when using your life energy to sing? But Adina said it wasn’t dangerous, so why do I feel...

"Aveline!" I felt an echo of my name but it was too faint and the more I tried to stay on my two feet I couldn’t, everything was fading, and I felt like the energy in my body was leaving me, and my body gave off.

I dropped to the ground with echoes of my name.

"Aveline!"

"Aveline!"

"Aveline!"

Everything is fading, and I just let it.

"Ava"

I gasped and opened my eyes, meeting crystal green eyes staring at me, eyes I missed so much and eyes that haunt me every day. He reached and cupped my cheeks, as we laid on the bed facing each other. My eyes turned glassy as more tears spilled down my cheeks. He used his thumb to wipe my tears away effortlessly.

"This is just a dream isn’t it?" I said in a shaky tone. "You’re not really here are you?"

He only smiled at my words and it only made it more true, but it doesn’t matter, for I wanted to savor this moment as best as I can, even if I didn’t wake up anymore, if I woke up I will be back to being a walking corpse, but here I could feel him, hear his voice, see his eyes. Heaven was truly bliss if this is what it is...

"Why did you do it?" he asked me in a sad tone. "Why are you letting death claim you?"

"You must be angry at me... you must, but I can’t Will, I cannot remain without you, I cannot live without having you by my side, I can’t h-handle it. I-I can’t" My lips quivered.

"Ava"

"If death is the only way to get to you then I will take it"

He opened his mouth to say something but it was inaudible.

"Will?" Suddenly he was gone and I gasped, sitting up and letting my eyes scan the room for him but he was nowhere to be seen.

"No, no, no" I broke again, crying. "Please no, no, no, please"

Everything went blank.

"Aveline"

I flicked my eyes open and met with worried silver staring back at me. I blinked, recognizing my room, not William and I’s room. It really was a dream. How I wish it wasn’t... because I was back to feeling empty again.

"Aveline"

I darted my eyes back to him.

"W-What happened?"

"You passed out after finishing the song..." he paused and something flicked in his eyes. "You used too much of your energy,"

I gulped at his words.

"Why Aveline?"

"I-I told Adina I still needed practice, I ruined everything, didn’t I? I guess I have to train more to get it right nex-"

"Aveline" His sudden change in tone caused me to flinch, his smile was gone and his features were replaced with something else, long gone the adoration in his eyes and replaced with something I cannot describe.

"You did it on purpose, did you not?" His tone was stern and different from the usual soft tone he always used on me.

"I-I-I-" I gasped when he leaned to me and pinned me to the bed, my hands pressed against both of my sides, my wide eyes on him.

"You think death will give you peace?"

My lips quivered.

"Why? Because of HIM" a touch of malice when he mentioned ’him’ and I couldn’t stop my body from shaking.

"I have been very patient with you Aveline, and I do not care if you take hundreds of years before you accept me. But this? Trying to end your life because of that filthy fox!"

"D-Don’t talk to him like that!"

My heart momentarily stopped when he suddenly grabbed my neck with his hand, it was tight... restricting my airflow and I found it hard to breathe.

"Death will never take you, as long as I breathe we’re both connected in ways you cannot imagine, your soul, heart, and body are mine. Your life is mine Aveline and if you doubt that see for yourself"

"Y-You’re hurting me, A-Aldon"

But he didn’t stop, he kept strangling me and I choked and tapped on his hand to make him stop, clawing my nails on it but he didn’t even bulge, not a flick of emotions in his eyes.

"A-Ald-"

I couldn’t even finish as his grip went painfully tight.

I can’t breathe

I can’t breathe

Tears flowed down from the corner of my eyes, silently begging for him to stop, but his grip only tightened further until I could no longer hold out and darkness found me.
