Chapter 102: Chapter 100

Diamond had given Andrea instructions about doing several things for her. Developing an app that she could use with her staff and purchasing a security company for her.

Although it’s been a few days since she instructed that, she was still curious about the progress. And since she had nothing to do, she wanted to hear about the progress.

[The app will be completed on Monday. As for the company, by Friday, I should be providing some good news.]

"Huh, that’s good then. As long as it’s sooner, I am content." Diamond was relieved to hear that.

[I am here to assist you in any way.]

"I know, Andrea. I also hope that you won’t overwork yourself too much. We need to stick together for a very long time."

[Don’t worry, I know my limits. I will act in moderation all the time.]

"That’s a relief then. Talking about limits, can you help me look for a capable human assistant?"

[Okay, what qualities do you require?]

"I want someone who won’t ask too many questions. Someone who can actually work in my place if it is needed. In summary, find me a capable female assistant," Diamond stated as she massaged her temples.

[Is there any maximum regarding salary or benefits?]

"It won’t matter if she is expensive. She just needs to be competent."

[That will make it easy. I will search a few for you and hand over the list once I am done with the investigation.]

"I will look forward to that then," Diamond sighed softly upon getting that answer.

After that, she dismissed Andrea as she returned to browse through the social media to find something interesting.

’Where is the system anyway today?’ she wondered as she looked at the DIAMOND FARM page.

The whole day she had not signed in at all. Was she going to skip the day or not?

She was just confused, but since she couldn’t summon the system for a forced signing-in, she decided to patiently wait.

And that patience of hers worked as a few minutes before midnight while she was in the middle of watching some videos on PikTok, the system appeared once again to brighten up her night.

[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]

’Sure. Sign in!’

[Ding! You have been rewarded with a Pia EV6 sports car.]

That was the third car that the system had given her. And Diamond was curious about what kind of car she had been rewarded with again this time.

However, she didn’t collect the car that fast as that would arouse suspicion. And the best way to deal with that was to drive it back home instead of it appearing like magic in her garage.

However, for now, she needed to check what she had been rewarded with since she had no clue as to what kind of car she had been given.

So, she began to search on the internet about the car and when it showed on the screen, Diamond couldn’t help but exclaim in excitement.

The car was more of an SUV, despite being labeled a sports car. It had futuristic looks that made it stand out from the rest. And most importantly, it was electronic and didn’t require any fuel at all.

Several service stations supported e-vehicles, so Diamond didn’t panic when she learned that she had been rewarded with an electronic car instead of a fuel-powered one.

After checking the car on the internet, Diamond’s mood brightened, and couldn’t help but look forward to a beautiful Sunday.

Filled with so much joy, Diamond finally drifted to sleep.

The next morning, Diamond woke up naturally without the need for an alarm since it was more in her blood.

After waking up, she went for her morning jog around the court and happened to bump into Kisha.

"Good morning, Diamond!" Kisha greeted her with joy upon seeing her.

Seeing a happy client, Diamond was even happier, and her response to Kisha showed that greatly.

"A good morning to you, too. You look dazzling!" Diamond couldn’t help but compliment as she saw the changes on Kisha’s face.

Kisha smiled shyly upon getting complimented, but the happiness flashing in her eyes was visible for all to see.

"It’s all thanks to you. Your cream works like magic!"

"Haha, I am glad that you like it." Diamond was very happy to hear that.

She couldn’t help but want to shake hands with the person who made the cream and praise him or her to the moon.

Maybe next time, the person should package the cream in bigger containers instead of being stingy and provide smaller bottles.

Of course, she didn’t mean that. What if the system gets angry and stops giving her the creams?

She should learn to be content.

"I was looking for you, actually!" Kisha suddenly said after a while.

When Diamond heard that, she looked puzzlingly at Kisha, wondering what the girl was up to again.

"Umm, I don’t have any more creams," Diamond quickly said, afraid that Kisha might request more.

"Hehe," Kisha chuckled softly, finding Diamond’s actions very cute and funny, "it’s not about that, though I wouldn’t mind getting more in the future."

When Diamond heard that, she heaved a sigh of relief. She didn’t want people to know that she had a lot of creams. She would be in trouble and be targeted by greedy wolves.

"Oh! That’s good then. So how may I help you?" she asked calmly, knowing that it wasn’t related to the creams.

When Kisha saw that Diamond was relaxed, she knew that it was the best time for her to tell her what she wanted. And she hoped that Diamond wouldn’t react badly but help her once again.

"Umm, so it’s like this ... umm, I was wondering if you could do me the honors of being my plus one?" with difficulty Kisha asked as she looked at Diamond nervously.

"Your plus what?" Diamond asked, stunned by what she had just heard.

Didn’t people take someone of the opposite gender as a plus one?

’Why is this girl trying to cause me trouble? I am not into girls if she is mistaken.’

"Please hear me out," Kisha pleaded upon seeing how Diamond had reacted.

Since the other was going to explain, Diamond decided to calm down. However, if Kisha was trying to send her into a girls’ pit while she was interested in recruiting at least four sons-in-law for her family, then she was going to cancel her out in her circle.

"Um, I have been invited to a banquet in the capital, and I am supposed to bring someone with me. However, I don’t trust some of the surrounding people, so I thought of you. You can consider this doing me a favor and at the same time, you might find some potential clients for your cream business," Kisha smoothly explained at once as she was afraid that if she were to do it bit by bit, Diamond might dash and leave her alone.

When Diamond heard that, she was still skeptical. After all, even if a person lacked trustworthy people, that wasn’t the reason why one would bring a girl over to a banquet.

"I understand your reasoning, but aren’t you supposed to bring a man there?" Diamond asked what had been bothering her for a while now.

When Kisha heard that, a smile couldn’t help but appear on her face.

"Not really. It doesn’t matter who we bring. The plus one can be a relative, a lover, or an acquaintance."

Upon hearing that, Diamond began to calm down as the explanation this time seemed to make more sense.

"Okay, if it’s like that, then I will think about it. You have to know that I am definitely not into girls, not that I am prejudiced," Diamond decided to make her stance clear.

"Hehe," Kisha chuckled softly when she heard Diamond. No wonder why Diamond reacted so badly before.

Did she really think that she ... ? She wasn’t into girls either.

"Don’t worry about that. I am definitely not into girls too, so be at ease," Kisha reassured Diamond quickly, as she was afraid that Diamond might really refuse to go with her.

Diamond finally heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that. "Okay, then I will go with you. But when is it?"

Kisha beamed brightly when Diamond finally agreed with her.

"It’s on Thursday next week," Kisha answered.

"Thursday .... Okay, I don’t think I have a schedule for next week yet, but I will go. And where is that banquet, by the way?"

"It’s in the capital and I will pay for the plane tickets and accommodation," Kisha volunteered.

"Don’t worry about that. I will deal with that issue on my own," Diamond refused Kisha’s offer.

She wasn’t the kind that would allow another woman to pay for her. The money that she had was several-fold that of Kisha’s. Wouldn’t she be bullying the weak if she were to accept that?

Besides, she didn’t like being supported by another woman, or man for that matter. If Kisha was male, then maybe she would have gladly and readily accepted, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and it made her feel uncomfortable.
