Chapter 191: Chapter 191

"I don’t think you can do that anymore, big bro," Lance said.

"Why not? Those shareholders want me to take over this dying company. You are the reason this company is in this state; you’re incompetent, Lancelot Grant. I can turn Empress Entertainment into a giant with all our family connections."

"As I said, I don’t think you can do that anymore," Lance grinned mischievously. He pressed the intercom from his desk, and Deborah walked into the CEO’s office carrying a document.

The middle-aged secretary handed the document to Theodore and said, "Please open this, Sir. It’s all the agreements and contracts verified for the past week."

Theodore frowned.

Lance’s confidence gave Theodore a bad feeling as if Lance had orchestrated everything, including his own downfall. Theodore looked at the document in his hand and opened it.

Theodore did a quick skim of the document, and his body stiffened. He looked at Lance with disbelief but remained silent as he read through the document again.

Angel got anxious because Theodore was making an expression as if he had been caught off guard. So she asked, "What is it? What’s wrong, Theo?"

Theodore handed the document to Angel for her to read. He stared at his little brother silently before asking, "Did you plan everything this far?"

"Me? This idiot Lancelot Grant can plan so far ahead?" Lance said sarcastically. "Come on, we both know I’m not competent enough to do so."

"Lancelot Grant, answer me!" Theodore raised his voice. "Did you plan everything?"

Lance finally stopped laughing, his expression turning hostile as he locked eyes with his big brother "Yes, I planned everything with the help of my girlfriend, Madeline. I needed a way to break free from you, so I intentionally created bad publicity with Madeline at the mall to ruin the release of Psycho Moth."

"And I need to break free from Zane Eastwood, who has become increasingly obsessive and unreasonable," Madeline added.

"Once the stock had a free fall two days after Christmas, I forced those shareholders to sell all their shares to me. So now I own seventy percent of the company’s stock, big bro," Lance said. He had a taunting smile playing on his lips as he knew he finally won against Theodore. "You cannot kick me anymore because I am basically the owner of this company now. I can do whatever I want with it."

Angel’s hands started shaking as she read the document. She glared at Lance, who ignored her completely, so she shifted her rage at the beauty next to Lance, the woman who must’ve seduced this stupid boy into doing something for her benefit.

"You! Madeline Rose! You are the one who told him to do this, right? Lance wouldn’t dare to go against his big brother if not because of you!"

Madeline raised her brow while smiling at Angel. "Me? I am but a stupid woman who ruined her career twice. I don’t think someone like me has the power or brain to influence Lance," Madeline replied. "Besides, you should speak for yourself, Ma’am. Lance told me that you groomed Mr. Theodore Grant to be your boyfriend. I think that’s what I call smart. Groom him since he was young, so he would think that a grandma is attractive."

"YOU!" Angel was fuming. She wanted to jump and pull this bitch’s hair for speaking shit about her.

But Angel knew Lance would protect Madeline, so she looked at Theodore instead. "Babe, did you hear that? She also called me a grandma! Look at both of them. They are both crazy and rude!"

Theodore didn’t respond to his fiancee’s complaint. He was too shocked to realize that his little brother had beaten him.

"Lance, did you use your money to buy all their stocks?"

"Yes," Lance confirmed. "But don’t worry, I bought their stocks when they were down by fifty percent. So, essentially, I bought this company for a cheap price. It’s all part of the plan, after all."

"Then what are you going to do with this company?" Theodore asked. "Even if you bought this company, you can’t do anything to save it. Empress Entertainment is doomed."

"Just wait and see, big bro," Lance said confidently. "I’m doing this because I want to get away from you and that old hag beside you. Empress Entertainment is a company that Dad gave to me. So I will do everything possible to have it all for myself."

"Even if that means turning against your own brother?"

"Even if I have to fight you," Lance stated. "I don’t have any bad blood against you, Theodore. You are still my big brother, but I won’t be listening to any of your bullshit as long as you are still with that stupid grandma."

Theodore took a deep breath to calm himself. He shifted his gaze at Madeline and asked, "Madeline Rose, do you understand what this means, right? Since you’ve sided with Lance, then I will actively go against you. You won’t be able to land another acting gig except the ones given by Lance."

Madeline simply shrugged, "That’s perfectly fine for me. What’s the point of staying in the showbiz without powerful backing anyway? I grew up as a child actress, Mr. Grant."

Madeline pulled Lance’s tie and forced him to lower his shoulder so Madeline could pat his cheek. "This man is my backing. He’s powerful and won’t betray me, so your threat doesn’t faze me."

"You are bold, Madeline Rose, I give you that," Theodore commented. He had a thin smile as he added. "You remind me of a powerful and dominant woman that I know. No wonder Lance is in love with you."

Madeline was unsure if Theodore was trying to taunt or mock her because it sounded like a genuine compliment, which was weird. After all, Lance told her many things about Theodore and Angel before they had to face each other in this situation.

"Fine, I will admit my defeat this time," Theodore said. "Lancelot Grant, Empress Entertainment is yours. Take care of it because this company has our parents’ legacy."
