Once Zane clicked on it, he saw the picture of Lance and Madeline kissing under a Christmas tree.

Madeline blocked Zane’s number after sending the link. She leaned comfortably on Lance’s arm as they relaxed in his room, gazing at the dark coast.

"Done," Madeline announced before she tossed her phone to the side. "Do you think Zane will finally give up on chasing me? I’ve hit him where it hurts the most. He should’ve given up at this point."

"If he’s still sane, yes," Lance replied. "But if he’s crazy enough to keep chasing after you, then I’ll make sure to tighten the security so he will never get close to you, and don’t worry about getting into the same set as him. After Psycho Moth, you don’t have to work with him anymore. I will handle everything to protect you."

Madeline smiled.

She knew securing protection and backing in this cutthroat industry was important, and she was glad to have the best protection from the finest man she could have.

"So, what are you going to do next?" Madeline asked. "Your brother must’ve been rejoicing over this scandal."

"Everything is under control. Don’t worry about it," Lance said. "You’ve gained your freedom. I also planned mine. We both will finally be free soon."

Madeline wanted the best for her boyfriend, so she gently patted his chest and said, "You can tell me if you need any help, alright? I’m always here for you."

"You’ve already helped me enough, Maddy. Just sit back and relax. Your man will handle the rest."

Just as Lance expected, the company’s stock went down in just one day, and the prediction didn’t look good either.

Thus, Lance prepared his fund the next day and set up an emergency meeting with the important shareholders the day after.

He entered the meeting room with his secretary following from behind, and much to his relief, he didn’t see Theodore in this meeting.

He didn’t send any invitation to Theodore, and that man probably would wait until the company’s stock completely crashed before kicking Lance out of his own company.

So everything was perfect for Lance, just as he expected.

He sat in his seat and opened the meeting.

"Good morning, fellow shareholders. As you can see, we have a dire situation right now. Madeline Rose destroyed her career with one Instagram post. She also got caught in public with a man that’s not our male lead in the upcoming TV show."

"And that man is you, Lancelot Grant," one shareholder pointed. "YOU are the one who ruined everything!"

"I know that you have a bad history with women. You are infamous! But how dumb can you be to date Madeline Rose while our upcoming huge project will be released in two weeks? You are a dumbass!"

"You should’ve stepped down immediately! Have you seen the damage that you’ve caused? The company stock went down instantly!"

"I know that. I’ve been watching the stock since yesterday," Lance shrugged as if it was just another meaningless day for him. "Well, we can’t do much about it. Madeline and I went public, and the stock went down. Now what? Do you think the public will forgive her if I forced her to delete that Instagram post? They will only attack her relentlessly."

The shareholders knew that the company was in a pinch. There was nothing they could do to control the damage at this point.

"I also saw that Zane’s massive fans are going to boycott the TV show because they have been betrayed by Madeline, especially after Zane’s latest post."

Lance glanced at his secretary, and she clicked a remote to show the Instagram post on the screen projector.
