She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 129
Chapter 129: Chapter 129
Makeup session with Bertha Marsh! Spilling the tea about Summer Heat Lovers! Warning: bullying and manipulation!
Madeline re-read the title a few times as the video was loading. She knew it was Ethan’s channel because of the thumbnail.
Then she checked the time when it was uploaded.
"An hour ago..." she murmured.
"Only an hour has passed, but it’s already trending," Julia said. She leaned at the door and crossed her arms as she watched the Youtube video with Madeline.

Ethan was busy putting a bright yellow-coloured blush on Bertha’s cheeks as they talked for over thirty minutes.
In the middle of the makeup session, Ethan first fished out the conversation, "So, what do you think about that girl?"
"That girl?" Bertha faked her innocence.
"You know, the one who bullied us."
"Oh—" Bertha sighed. She looked sad as she fiddled with her fingers nervously. "Is it really okay to say this in front of the camera? She’s really cruel. I’m scared she will get me in trouble again. I’m nothing compared to her, after all."
"Aw, don’t be scared. We’re on my YouTube channel, as long as we don’t mention her name," Ethan chuckled callously. He glanced at the camera and added, "But I think my fans will know who she is anyway."
Bertha sighed, "Do you remember how she slept with so many men in the filming set? I thought the story of her being promiscuous was just gossip. But I saw it in my own eyes! God, I was shocked how she invited the male staff into her room!"
"Oh, I saw it too! I saw her doing it with a man in a bush not far from the pool," Ethan said as he added the false accusation.
"I told her once not to do that because she might ruin her reputation even more, and she actually slapped me." Bertha’s eyes began to glisten with tears. She looked pitiful, as if she were recalling a terrible experience.
"She manipulated all the staff to do her bidding," Ethan said. "Do you remember how she’s actually getting all the help during the games? It’s so unfair because we’re trying our best while she gets a cheat code from the staff."
"But her biggest cheat code is not the staff..." Bertha and Ethan looked at each other in tacit understanding. "You know who I am talking about."
"I know. I think we can mention his name here because he’s also a victim like us," Ethan assured.
"Mm, I guess so. But I’m scared to say it. You should say it instead," Bertha threw the responsibility at the channel owner, and Ethan took the bait.
He looked at the camera again and said, "We’re talking about Zane Eastwood."
"Yeah, Zane had it the worst," Bertha said. "That woman has seduced, blackmailed, and manipulated him to do all of her bidding."
"I know, right? She even abused him!" Ethan doubled it down. "I heard from a staff member that Zane was beaten up by that woman shortly after they lost their last game."
"They lost the final game because she’s a terrible cook. But it doesn’t matter to her because she doesn’t want to be blamed for their loss."
"Ugh, I regret ever joining that reality show. It’s so biased towards that woman. It’s obvious that she slept her way up." Ethan rolled his eyes.
"But hey, at least we became friends because of that reality show, right?" Bertha smiled amicably.
"Yup! At least we become real friends, unlike her and the winner," Ethan sneered. "They are faking their friendships just for the views."

After that, they began talking about other miscellaneous things that didn’t correlate with Summer Heat Lovers.
Ethan and Bertha wanted to make it as if their conversation was natural, even though it was obvious that they were trying to slander Madeline.
Madeline’s eyes were fueled with fury. She wanted to find those bitches and snap their necks for slandering her like this!
But when she turned around and faced Julia, her anger dissipated, replaced with panic and fear.
Julia didn’t show any sign of contempt towards her. Instead, she looked sympathetic.
"They—they are—it’s all slander—I didn’t do it—" Madeline stammered as she tried her best to prove her innocence.
"Calm down," Julia said. "Take a deep breath."
Madeline took a deep breath to calm herself. But she was still restless, knowing that people saw her as unsalvageable.
True, she chose to play the villain to maintain her popularity, but she refused to be seen as an irredeemable monster.
"Y—You have to believe me. I didn’t do any of those!" Madeline tried to defend herself in front of Julia, though she doubted Julia would believe her.
Julia stared at Madeline for a while and said, "I don’t think you are that horrible person."
"Really?" Madeline thought that nobody would believe her. Just like when her scandalous affair broke out and everyone was on Jon and Vivian’s side.
"Yes, I was in a similar situation before," Julia said. "I was accused of bullying my co-star, even though we barely spoke on the set."
"Then, how did you get out of that sticky situation?" Madeline asked. Her priority right now was to find a way out before it was too late and her career would get destroyed for the second time.
"I made a huge mistake by doing nothing, just like my agency told me to do," Julia replied. "That’s why I’ve been reduced from starring in a big movie to playing in a mere TV show."
Madeline was astonished. "I—I thought you were just tired of playing on the big screen."
"Of course not, but that bullying allegation killed my reputation in Hollywood." Julia sighed. "I should’ve done something to clarify that bullying allegation rather than staying silent. And you should too, Madeline Rose."
Madeline panicked, knowing her fate would be even worse than Julia’s.
"Then I need to do something to fix this," Madeline said. "I will call Lance. He can help me with this."
"I don’t think Lance can help you with this," Julia refuted.
"Why not? He is the CEO of Empress Entertainment, so surely he can do something, right?"
