Hearing Fu Shihan’s answer, Su Wanxin sighed deeply, her fist pressed against her aching chest, and she spoke no further.

The car arrived at a residential area close to Su’s Securities, where Fu Shihan led her directly upstairs to the top floor.

On the 30th floor or so, the scenery was breathtaking. Su Wanxin stood by the window looking at the closely packed high-rise buildings outside and the endless stream of traffic below, making a jesting remark.

"This place mustn’t be cheap, right?"

"It’s alright," Fu Shihan said casually. "The developer of this complex is our own, we just randomly kept a suite because the location looked nice."

Su Wanxin: ...

Alright then. She was confused to have naively discussed money matters with Fu Shihan.

"You will live here from now on." Fu Shihan walked behind her, commanding in a tone that brooked no refusal, "together with Yangyang."

Su Wanxin frowned at him, shaking her head. "No, I want to live with Xiao Yu."

"Then bring her over as well."

Fu Shihan didn’t ask why she insisted on living with Mu Suyu; he just calmly responded.

"The place you two live in is too small; Yangyang won’t be comfortable."

Accustomed to the manorial villas of the Fu Residence, it was natural for Yangyang to find it hard to adjust to her and Mu Suyu’s tiny home of less than a hundred square meters.

Yet, it had been many days and he had not once complained; every day after school he would obediently sit at home waiting for Su Wanxin to return, his face blooming into a smile upon seeing her, sweetly and softly calling her ’Mom’, and acting coquettishly in her arms.

"If you’re afraid he’s suffering, why not take him back home." Su Wanxin smiled with pursed lips. "I’m not good at taking care of children; it’s never right with me."

"You can send him yourself; I don’t plan to return to the old residence lately."

Li Mo was already furious because he sent Yangyang to stay with Su Wanxin, and if not for her mobility issues, Fu Shihan figured she might just storm over and snatch her grandson back.

After receiving and being scolded through several phone calls, Fu Shihan had grown too lazy to face more lectures in person, he even started to dislike picking up the phone.

Su Wanxin bit her lip, hesitating to speak. Realizing she dared not return to the Fu Family, Fu Shihan scoffed with a snide laugh, "Such a tiny bit of courage."

Su Wanxin didn’t argue; they both stayed quiet for a while until the doorbell rang.

Fu Shihan went to open the door, and Su Wanxin turned to look. Her body trembled violently upon seeing the person who entered.

The visitor also froze upon seeing Su Wanxin, their expression incredulous. They looked at Su Wanxin and then at Fu Shihan, hesitating to speak.

"Please take good care of her from now on." Fu Shihan closed the door, his tone as calm as usual, revealing no emotional fluctuation.

"Understood, Young Master."

Jing Jingwen and his wife Chu Pei, nodded, no longer looking at Su Wanxin, they took their luggage to the guest room to settle in.

Su Wanxin stood still on the balcony, and when Fu Shihan approached her, she asked with a slightly trembling voice, "Is Young Master Fu retaliating against me?"

Jing Jingwen is the old butler of the Fu Family; he had been working there for over a decade when Su Wanxin arrived at age seven. His wife, Chu Pei, was the chef of the Fu Family, and Su Wanxin still remembered her excellent cooking that she and Fu Shiyi both loved and dreaded.

But ever since her accident that broke Li Mo’s legs, these two were also dismissed by the Fu Family. Not just them, all the servants associated with Su Wanxin were driven away back then.

They hated Su Wanxin, who also feared facing them after returning.
