Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth
Chapter 127: To Kill You

Chapter 127: Chapter 127: To Kill You

The car quickly arrived at the hospital, not the one they visited last time, but a newly opened private hospital.

Su Wanxin followed Fu Shihan into the hospital, stiffening as she saw several doctors already waiting there.

"Go for a checkup."

Fu Shihan turned to look at her, took her wrist, handed her over to the doctors, then sat down on the sofa to wait.

The waiting time was long and tedious. Fu Shihan took out his phone and checked his email for a while, but upon realizing that he couldn’t calm his feelings, he simply gave up doing anything and waited patiently.

Su Wanxin cooperated throughout the checkup. After everything was done, she looked at the doctors holding the medical reports, faces grim, and managed a bitter smile.

She knew them, although she had never seen them before.

These were all well-known experts in their fields, mostly from medical families. Like Zhan Che, they hadn’t worked in any public hospitals but had chosen to open their own private hospitals.

They were renowned both domestically and internationally, and had treated many celebrities and wealthy businessmen. Su Wanxin knew them because of Zhan Che.

In recent years, Zhan Che had also been worried about her health condition, constantly trying his best to find treatments for her. However, Su Wanxin herself showed no signs of improvement.

She had inadvertently seen these people’s profiles on Zhan Che’s computer. Zhan Che had once suggested getting them together to treat her, but she refused.

Firstly, it was too much trouble for someone half-dead like her. Secondly, gathering these people was not an easy task and seemed impossible.

Unexpectedly...

Fu Shihan had brought them here.

Su Wanxin bowed her head, clenched her fists, feeling the pain as her nails dug into her flesh. She clenched her teeth to hold back tears, took a deep breath to steady her emotions, and looked up again, showing no signs of disturbance.

The doctors looked at her with complex expressions before going to discuss her condition with Fu Shihan.

Su Wanxin listened from outside the door, catching glimpses and understanding the situation.

Three years ago, she survived a car accident, was comatose over a year in the hospital, and ever since waking up, her body had remained like this. All her medical indicators were off the charts. Zhan Che had once despairingly said that looking at her medical reports was like seeing those of a late-stage cancer patient, beyond saving.

Fu Shihan spoke softly with the doctors, occasionally nodding or glancing darkly at Su Wanxin.

She could feel the chilling coldness emanating from him, always keeping her distance, unwilling to get close.

After a long while, Fu Shihan stepped out, grabbed her wrist, and left with her.

Complex report results would take two days to arrive, but even from the data obtained today, the outlook was not optimistic.

The doctors were suspecting that Su Wanxin might have some incurable disease, which made Fu Shihan extremely agitated, sinking into a deep mood.

Su Wanxin held onto the seat belt in front of her, quietly sensing the deadly atmosphere in the car. She sneaked a glance at Fu Shihan’s profile and mustered the courage to ask.

"Those doctors, did you bring them back from abroad?"

"Yes."

"That hospital, did you have it prepared? And the equipment, was it specifically shipped from abroad?"

"Yes."

"Why bother..." Su Wanxin gave a bitter laugh, turned to look at him. "I am your enemy, why go through such trouble to save me? What for?"

Fu Shihan gripped the steering wheel tightly with his well-defined knuckles, glanced at her, and responded in a calm voice.

"To kill you."

"Once you’re well, I will let you know what it feels like to wish you were dead, leaving you crying in despair."
