Chapter 157: Special - 2

Chapter 157: Special Chapter 2

"He’s going to be fine. He’s going to be fine. He’s going to be fine." Winter repeated to himself as he paced back and forth outside the ICU.

Kendall’s voice and hands were shaking as he made calls in place of Winter, alerting the important contacts he found on Blue’s phone about the situation.

If Winter were to be stable at this moment, he would have realized that Kendall had gone and informed the people he shouldn’t have informed about the accident.

Instead, he was busy panicking. His entire world was crashing inside his mind. The more he convinced himself that everything was going to be fine, the clearer the image of Blue covered in blood formed in his mind.

Winter had never been so terrified in his entire life. He had never been so scared of anything before. He’d never thought that one day, he’d face the possibility of actually losing Blue.

Losing him for real and not their usual fights where Blue would leave him but there was still the opportunity of finding Blue and bringing him back.

Now, there was nothing like that.

If Blue wasn’t able to survive, what reason would Winter have to continue living?

"Where is he?! Where is he!?" An impatient voice sounded, rushing into the scene.

The voice was loud and familiar enough to break Winter out from his panic trance. He lifted his head and was about to speak, but his collars were immediately grabbed and he was pressed against the nearest wall.

Winter came face to face with Eliot whose face was popping with veins and nostrils were breathing out fury.

"What did you do to my brother?" Eliot asked Winter with a dangerously low tone.

At the same time, Atlas appeared at the scene. Though he didn’t immediately go for Winter’s throat like Eliot, the aura he was exuding was one akin to a killer about to commit murder.

Kendall, a simple omega, grew afraid. The two Kent brothers were already releasing fierce pheromones.

"Don’t let me ask you again. What the fuck did you do to my brother!?" Eliot slammed Winter harder against the wall.

No one expected that instead of retaliating, Winter would burst into a fit of tears and blurt, "I don’t know!"

"H-He was fine when I talked to him on the phone this morning. I d-don’t know why he was acting strange when he saw me at the café. He began saying things and walking backwards and I don’t know. I really don’t know."

Tears streamed down Winter’s eyes as he tried to explain himself. Everything had just happened too fast for him to understand. One moment, Blue was yelling at him, the next moment, he was lying on the road, covered in blood.

"You fucking bastard. I always knew–"

"What are you doing!? Let go of him!" Someone new managed to pry Eliot off Winter.

"Step away. This is between me and him. If you don’t want to be lumped in the same category with him, you better mind your own business." Eliot said to the newcomer, Logan, with a menacing tone.

Logan appeared unafraid as he looked up at the large man standing in front of him.

"Should you really be fighting here? Right now? I don’t know if you’re aware of it but Blue is inside that room and there’s been no news from there for a while now. So you better get your act together and stop causing trouble. The both of you." Logan extended his lecture to Atlas who was behind Eliot in support of his violence.

The two brothers looked like they still had more to say, so someone else stepped up to speak.

"Please, let’s not fight here or try to throw the blame on anyone. We all care about Blue. He definitely won’t be happy if he catches us being rowdy. So it’s better we all just calm down and maintain a hopeful air." Adam spoke with a reasonable tone.

As Adam was a person whom Eliot and Atlas were more than familiar with, they chose to heed his words and back away from Winter.

"Bro, calm down," Logan turned to face Winter; the latter bawling his eyes out.

All the tears he’d been holding back this entire time while trying to convince himself that everything was fine began to stream down fiercely.

"Blue’s going to be fine. You have to believe that, okay? He’s strong. You know that, right?" Logan placed his hand on Winter’s shoulder as he spoke with a reassuring tone.

Winter was at a loss for what to do if not cry. He wasn’t a crier, though he was a whiner, he hardly cried. This time, he couldn’t control himself. He tried, tried to picture Blue being fine and everything working out well, but the blood...

Every time he blinked, he saw Blue in his arms covered in blood.

"Let’s go get you some water. Standing here isn’t doing you any good," Adam piped up, hoping that Winter would vacate the area even for a little while so he could compose himself.

Just as he and Logan were about leading Winter away, the door to the ICU burst open and a male nurse rushed out.

"Which one of you is the patient’s alpha?"

"Me! It’s me!" Winter quickly wiped his cheeks and hurried forward, a flare of hope igniting in his heart.

"Come with me. I have something to tell you," the nurse said and began to lead Winter away.

"Is Blue alright? How’s the baby? Are they both fine?" Winter questioned, unable to bear the lack of good news.

"Your partner will be fine, but we need your help as his alpha." The nurse said.

Winter’s brows furrowed in confusion as he asked, "What do you mean as his alpha?"

Author has something to say: There’s a reason I’ve been delaying to write this Chapter. Ah, gosh. I hope I can just get through the next few Chapters so I can write the happy extra Chapters.
