Shades of Blue (Omegaverse BL)
Chapter 155 - 153 | Good Parents

Chapter 155: 153 | Good Parents

"Stop. Stop. Stop." Blue quickly pushed Winter away, placing a hand on his stomach.

Winter, delirious with desire, slurred, "What? What’s wrong?"

"I think the baby just kicked." Blue said.

Winter immediately snapped into his right senses and sat up straight. "Really??"

Winter put his hand over Blue’s hand and suddenly, he felt a slight movement there. His eyes watered without caution and he exclaimed, "Winter Junior!"

He quickly placed his head against Blue’s stomach and said, "WJ, it’s your dad. Can you hear me?"

There was no movement. Except from the slap Winter received on his head, courtesy of Blue.

"You scared him away!" Blue accused Winter.

"I-I didn’t mean to!" Winter said in his defense.

"Yes, you did. You- ah! He just kicked again!" The tone of Blue’s voice changed as he felt movement inside his belly again.

Winter was quick to react and placed his hand on top of Blue’s stomach to feel the movement.

"Ow!" Blue complained, the kick this time being much stronger than the former.

"He has such energy! Just like you!" Winter said with a smile, settling properly.

"It’s so weird. Why’d he choose to kick now?" Blue said, acknowledging their surroundings and the state he and Winter were in.

They were literally about to have wild sex when the baby decided to move. Was it a coincidence?

"He probably doesn’t want us to fuck," Winter suggested shamelessly, leaning closer towards Blue.

"Do you think he felt... you know?" Blue questioned awkwardly.

He was told that it was fine to have sex and it wouldn’t really affect the baby as long as it was the gentle kind. But Winter didn’t understand the word, ’gentle’. Maybe the stimulation had been too much and was able to draw a reaction from his child.

Blue didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Of all things...

The sensual mood in the air was obviously dead at this point, so Winter and Blue had to gather themselves and shower innocently before they went to bed.

Before they slept that night, Blue said to Winter, "Do you think we’re going to be good parents?"

They were lying down sideways, staring at each other when Blue said this.

Winter laughed a little and said, "Of course, we are. With me as good cop cool dad and you as bad cop strict dad, I think we’ll be fin–"

Blue flicked Winter’s forehead, stopping him from completing his nonsense statement.

"Why are you the cool dad? I’m cool, too," Blue said, offended at the injustice done by giving him the title of strict.

"No, you’re not. I feel like you’re going to stop WJ from going to parties and night clubbing," Winter said in amusement.

"Why would he be going night clubbing?" Blue asked.

"That question is the exact reason why you’re a bad cop parent." Winter clapped to make a statement.

Blue rolled his eyes.

"But really. We have to be good parents. And if the baby turns out to be an omega or an alpha, we’ll make sure we raise him right. So he won’t turn out like the two of us."

Winter’s jaw dropped at Blue’s last sentence.

"What’s wrong with turning out like either of us??" Winter questioned.

"It’s quite obvious, isn’t it? You’re a weird lying perv. And I’m a social pariah. I want our child to be honest and sociable. I want him to be loved and happy and–"

"Hmph. He’s not even out and you’re already making decisions for him. Let the kid be whoever he wants to be." Winter said.

"Why can’t I make decisions for my child? And I’m not saying I’m not going to let him be who he wants to be. I’m just saying that it’d be good if he’s not like us–"

"There is nothing wrong with us." Winter cut Blue off with a serious tone. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with who we are."

"You can only say that because everyone loves you. No one even likes me." Blue said with a hint of bitterness in his tone.

"I like you. And everyone likes the version of me I show them. You’re one of the only few people who actually like me for who I truly am. We like each other. That’s all that matters." Winter placed a kiss on Blue’s forehead.

"And we’re gonna be amazing parents. Just wait and see." Winter then kissed Blue’s lips this time.

"Hmm," Blue hummed in satisfaction, then cozied up to Winter on the bed.

As long as Winter said it, it was going to be true. He was happy that he had Winter to reassure him of things like this. He was happy that he had Winter.

And that was all that truly mattered.

THE END.

Author’s note: This Chapters marks the end of the main story. I am going to write about their life in the distant future, but that’s coming up in special Chapters edition.

What is coming next is the original ending I planned for Shades of Blue, involving the things that should’ve happened had my heart not been too soft to make my characters suffer.

I don’t want to write it, truly. But I have to.

And also, I’m not going to be writing about Blue making up with his brothers. Why? That’s not a grudge that can die easily. He’s going to hate them forever but might be able to stand them along the line.

But that would take yearrrrssss. And I won’t be able to extend the book to the point where Blue decides to let go. His character has shown from the start that he knows how to hold a grudge. I want to keep to that design.

Anyways, prepare yourselves for the next Chapter. From the point where Blue comes across Kendall and Winter at that cafe. That was when things were supposed to go down, but I changed it and worked things out between them instead.

I’ve ranted too much. Expect the unexpected. Let me not forget to add this, if you know you’re satisfied with this ending, don’t bother reading the special Chapters, just go straight to the extra Chapters that are going to come up after it.

Bye! <3
