Chapter 137 - 135 | I Love You

Chapter 137: 135 | I Love You

"This is fucking painful..." Blue said to himself, referring to his relationship’s current status.

Why was Winter making him feel this way? Why couldn’t he just tell the truth? Why didn’t Winter trust him enough to confess?

Was it better to keep him in the dark about things? If he wanted to, then he should’ve acted better. Pretended better. It was what he knew how to do best.

Yet, he made it obvious that he had been uncomfortable being in Kendall’s presence with Blue around.

Yes, Kendall!

Blue lifted his head from the door with that thought. Kendall would obviously know why Winter acted strange. And he would be more than ready to divulge into the past.

Blue attempted to open his door and walk right across the hall to knock on Kendall’s door. That would just put a simple stop to everything.

Blue turned the door knob and opened the door. Kendall’s room was right there. And he was probably at home now. Blue wanted to know. He needed to know.

His curiosity was killing him.

As he took a step outside of his house, the floor’s elevator made a ding sound. Blue turned around to check who it was. His entire brain went haywire, seeing Winter striding towards him.

"What the...? I thought you left," Blue said in confusion when Winter reached him.

"What are you still doing–" The rest of Blue’s words were devoured by Winter as he smashed his lips against Blue’s lips.

Blue wasn’t given the time to react or think properly as Winter kissed him without any reserve, then managed to maneuver them into the house and shut the door.

Winter kissed Blue for the longest time with Blue letting him take lead as his senses were kissed away. When Winter broke the kiss, both their lips were swollen and their cheeks were red.

Blue wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and said, "What was that for??"

"I just wanted to kiss you," Winter said whilst breathing heavily.

"I don’t understand you–"

"Ask me anything. I want you to understand me," Winter cut Blue off with a serious tone.

"Huh?" Blue was taken aback by Winter’s sudden behavior.

"I know something’s bothering you. And it’s about me. If you’re curious about anything. Then ask me. I don’t want us to be estranged anymore." Winter admitted sincerely.

Blue felt like Winter was able to read minds but not to his own favor. He clenched his fists.

"You’re a liar, Winter," Blue said, not daring to hold Winter’s gaze as he accused him, focusing his attention on the floor.

"I am," Winter didn’t disagree.

"You promised you wouldn’t pretend in front of me, but you did."

"I... did." There was a long pause before Winter completed his short statement.

If Blue’s head was raised and he could see Winter, he would’ve noticed Winter’s jaw being locked tight and his expression dark.

"Why can’t you tell me?" Blue’s voice dropped.

He finally lifted his head to look at Winter with glassy eyes. Winter’s expression crumbled with guilt.

"I... I was wrong. I was wrong," Winter cupped Blue’s cheek as he spoke with an apologetic tone.

Truth to be told, he didn’t yet know what he had done wrong. But for Blue to accuse him of something, he definitely must have done something wrong deserving of a grand apology.

He had wanted to leave this apology for another day like he always did. But if staying without Blue because of their fights had taught him something, it’d be timing.

He always fucked up when it came to timing his actions, his apologies, his kisses. Winter refused to fuck up anymore now that it wasn’t just himself and Blue.

The heartbeat he heard today... He was going to be responsible for that heartbeat very soon. Responsible for the owner’s life, status, actions, everything. He was going to father another human being.

He couldn’t keep being a shitty person.

Winter pondered on all of this when he had been going down the elevator. And by the time he had reached his car, he couldn’t get himself to drive home, knowing that there was something wrong with Blue that was possibly his fault.

That was when he turned around and came back up, deciding to tidy up all the loose ends in his life. Starting from his relationship with Blue.

"I love you, Blue," Winter spoke with an almost inaudible voice. Words that he always thought to himself and said in passing but never sincerely, and never to Blue, like this.

Blue’s eyes widened at Winter’s confession.

"I don’t know why I don’t say it often which might have made you believe that I don’t, but I love you. With all my dirty black heart. Your existence makes me want to be better so that I can be fully deserving of you,"

"And I don’t want to be the person who makes you sad or worried or angry. I want to be the person whom you don’t have to be anything else but yourself with. Fuck, this is starting to sound cringe cause I didn’t plan it well, but I love you, truly. And I want to be with you forever and ever."

That was when Winter got down on one knee in front of Blue. Blue’s heart skipped a beat as he began to shake his head, watching Winter reach for his hand and hold it in between his.

"I don’t have a ring yet, but I’ll get you one. The most beautiful and expensive ring in the world will be yours if you say yes to this question right now," Winter smiled. "Will you marry me?"

"D-Did you just try to bribe me?" Blue stammered, overwhelmed.

"Not the point, but yes," Winter said.

Blue laughed. The tears in his eyes finding an outlet. He wiped his face with the back of his hand, sniffling a bit.

"Fuck..." he muttered, still not able to grasp the turn of events.

"Is that a fuck yes?" Winter asked slowly.

Blue nodded without hesitation.

"It is. Ye-"

Before Blue was able to complete his sentence, Winter had already risen back up to his feet to capture his lips.
