Truth to be told, Blue was an obsessive and toxic lover. Maybe it was because he hadn’t truly understood the concepts of love before he fell in love.

Blue’s perspective of a relationship was vastly different from the average person’s own. Blue felt that love should be free and that no words needed to be said for two people in love to understand each other.

Blue believed in blindly trusting a person when you were in love with them. Putting out your all and accepting the all back from your partner.

But even with his beliefs, he’d been able to accept and understand Winter time and time again. Accepting and understanding. Blue had done a lot of those in the duration of their relationship.

He thought about it as he sipped his juice.

Winter didn’t understand him all of the time. But for the most part, he tried. And Blue appreciated Winter trying for him.

Blue felt that their relationship would be better if he didn’t hate and ’fear’ Alphas. If he hadn’t gone through what he did when he was younger, he would have been different.

He would have had a more easygoing and open personality. He would have been less stubborn, less aggressive, less violent.

But because he was broken, he was this way.

Blue realized that he was letting his thoughts spiral onto a dark path so he tried to repress them down and think of only good things. Positive things like the little guy in his stomach.

"Do you think Winter wants me pregnant?" Blue suddenly asked aloud.

Adam glanced at him with a raised brow.

"Random," Adam pointed out. "I don’t know. You guys didn’t plan to knot and have a baby, so he might not have actually wanted it."

"Knot?" Blue suddenly repeated, as though he didn’t know the meaning of the word. But he did.

Knotting was what bound an Alpha and Omega together. It was what caused an Omega to get pregnant when they weren’t in heat.

Blue was absolutely sure that the time he must have gotten pregnant was when he and Winter went crazy at Winter’s office. But during that time, Winter had knotted inside of him. And Blue wasn’t in heat then.

Blue began to address his thoughts. How then did he get pregnant? He had spent his last heat cycle alone, and the one before it, Winter had ensured to use protection. And that time had also been weeks before what happened at Winter’s office.

Blue was absolutely sure that Winter had never knotted him before. So truly, how was he able to get pregnant??

"... That child in your stomach can’t belong to Winter. Unless he truly wanted you to get pregnant for him."

Blue suddenly remembered Kendall’s words at that time. He slightly felt a bit regretful about not allowing Kendall to explain what he meant. Now he was forced to live in gnawing curiosity.

Did he mean that Winter had some kind of superpower to get someone pregnant if he willed it because he was an Extremely Dominant Alpha?

Information about Extremely Dominant Alphas wasn’t a lot on the Internet because of their rarity. But Blue was absolutely sure that they did not have that kind of ability.

So yet again—how was he able to get pregnant!?

"Winter did knot inside you, didn’t he? The sex must have been that good for him to lose control. Hehe." Adam spoke with an amused tone, adding a knowing chuckle at the end.

"He didn’t..." Blue mumbled.

Adam heard him clearly, causing his brows to furrow briefly before he relaxed, then he said, "During your heat then?"

Blue shook his head.

"During his rut?" Adam inquired.

Blue was about to shake his head negatively when he paused to think. Could Winter have been undergoing his rut that day?

Blue couldn’t be sure. The difference between an Alpha’s rut and an Omega’s heat was very large. An Omega’s heat was very dangerous for them and everyone around them would be able to tell they were in heat.

The Omega wouldn’t be able to control themselves and would be driven purely by desire. But it was different for an Alpha.

An Alpha in rut was a threat to everyone but themselves. They were in full control of their mind. Though they were driven by desire, they had the capability to control themselves, to restrain from going too far.

Blue had been with Winter for a long time and it was only a handful of times that he’d been around to actually witness Winter going through his rut.

Winter became an entirely different person because of his rut. Blue couldn’t say for certain that Winter must have been experiencing rut that particular day.

If he was, then his self-restraint was incredible! Blue remembered how Winter had been surrounded by Omegas that day. Heck, every day Winter was always surrounded by Omegas.

Blue never thought about Winter’s self-restraint, but the guy was really trying as an Alpha, and a dominant one at that.

Now, back to the pressing issue—how was he able to get pregnant!?

"That’s odd..." Adam trailed off, bringing Blue back to reality as he tapped on his chin.

"But I guess it’s a miracle. This baby has been able to fix a bit of things in your relationship with Winter, hasn’t it?" Adam continued speaking.

Blue nodded his head.

"That’s great! Winter is taking extra care of you and the kid so that counts for something. He does want the baby." Adam said, answering Blue’s previous question once again.

"I guess it does." Blue said, his doubt dying down.

Blue had noticed that ever since he got pregnant, his mind was always playing tricks on him and getting him to think or do things that he wouldn’t ever do if he was in his right senses.

His own case of baby brain arrived early and with full force. Blue laughed a little, then stood up from his recliner.

"I’m gonna go pee," he told Adam.

Adam nodded.

Blue picked up his bucket hat and wore it as he navigated himself to the nearest restroom. The sun was really hot. Thank goodness for sunscreen.

As Blue was nearing the restroom, his way was blocked by three people.
