Chapter 125: 123 | Random Things
"Unless he wanted me to get pregnant for him? What do you mean?" Blue asked with a frown on his face.
Kendall opened his mouth to speak, but Blue suddenly shook his head and said, "Nope. I’ve changed my mind. I don’t even want to hear it. Don’t say anything."
Blue swung open his door and basically threw Kendall out of his house.
"I’m sure you must have good intentions trying to tell me things about Winter, but this is the wrong time. And I’m not sure there will ever be a right time." Blue finished speaking, then slammed his door after that and locked it.
Kendall didn’t make a fuss outside the door. Blue was grateful for that.
He let out a sigh and walked back deeper into his house to settle down.
"... That child in your stomach can’t belong to Winter."
As much as Blue wanted to forget the exchange between him and Kendall, Kendall’s words refused to leave his head.
Kendall wasn’t a bad person, Blue was sure of that. But Winter wasn’t a bad person either. At least, the current Winter that Blue knew wasn’t a completely bad person.
Blue couldn’t vouch for Winter’s past self. The possibility of Winter being unimaginably more terrible than he thought scared Blue. So he tried not to think about Winter’s past.
In the same way Winter didn’t ask about his past.
Blue could still remember Preston’s funeral. He’d only told Winter that he wanted to ruin it. He hadn’t told Winter the details. Winter had found out about his past just like the other people in attendance.
Yet, he never asked about it. He only held Blue when he was done and brought him back home. Winter had never spoken a word to him about that day ever.
Winter could live without knowing Blue’s past and being bothered by it, so Blue felt that he should be the same way. They had already come this far together, hadn’t they?
Their pasts shouldn’t matter. Only their future.
Blue’s gaze shifted to his stomach as he caressed his belly through the material of his top.
"Everything will be fine. I promise you." His words were a reassurance to both the baby in his stomach and himself.
***
Blue was out with Adam for the first time in forever. After he became busy with work and Adam being absorbed in his own work alongside Logan’s dick, they haven’t had any free time.
During the few weeks that Blue had spent in Adam’s home, nothing fun happened. It was just sorrowful moments and encouraging motivation that went on between the two of them.
Now was their chance to catch up. On everything in both of their lives. They were both at a sparsely populated beach under two bright and wide umbrellas, wearing beach clothes and sipping fruit juice, talking about random things.
"You two are still not together?" Blue asked slowly after hearing Adam tell him that he wanted Logan to move out of his apartment.
"Of course, we aren’t. What makes you think we are?" Adam glanced at Blue from his recliner.
’You both only spend time with each other. Have sex all the time. He pays your bills and cooks for you. You talk about your futures together, and he’s literally the only thing you think about as you’ve spent almost an hour talking about him.’
Blue’s eyes conveyed his unsaid words to Adam. Adam huffed and said, "I’m serious. He’s not my type!"
’Yet you’ve been exclusively shagging him for a year plus.’
Blue didn’t spare Adam from his judgmental gaze.
"Stop looking at me like that! Focus on yourself, you confused pregnant Omega!" Adam attacked Blue, tired of being the subject topic in their discussion.
Blue’s lipped tugged up in irritation as he said, "I’m not confused about anything."
"Then why haven’t you and Winter taken the next step?"
"What next step?" Blue asked, bringing his straw to his mouth.
"Marriage!" Adam exclaimed.
Blue, who had been taking a sip of his juice at that moment, spluttered the gulp in his mouth.
Marriage? What marriage? What did that have to do with anything!?
As though Adam could hear Blue’s thoughts, he said, "You’re going to give birth to a child for an Alpha you’re not married to. Talk about unstable."
Blue rolled his eyes.
"There’s no need for marriage. Winter and I are fine without it," Blue defended himself.
’Really?’ Adam’s gaze seemed to say.
It made Blue second-guess things. There was no need for marriage at this point. And Winter had never brought up the topic of marriage.
He’d talked about having kids but nothing official. They didn’t even have anything to show that they were in a relationship.
No couples outfits, jewelry, painting, nothing.
The more Blue thought about it, the more strange he found it.
Did Winter not want to spend the rest of his life with him? Though Blue had once told him that he didn’t want a permanent mark, that was a long time ago.
His view concerning a permanent marking wasn’t necessarily the same as it used to be years ago, was it?
’It still is.’ A small voice in the back of Blue’s head said, but Blue chose to ignore it and focus on the matter at hand.
"Look at you already second guessing your entire relationship because of something I just said. Yet you say you’re not confused." Adam let out a laugh after his words, bringing Blue back to the present.
Blue frowned.
"You need to get yourself together. Your needs, wants, desires. Let Winter know about them now before the kid comes out and things become even more complicated." Adam advised with a semi-serious tone.
Blue nodded. But at the back of his mind, a single thought lingered—
Would Winter want to spend the rest of his life with someone like him?
Author has something to say: This Chapter was so boring compared to the last one. I want drama! What do you guys think?
