Chapter 114 - 112 | Scared
Chapter 114: 112 | Scared
Blue thought that ignoring the knocking on his door would make Kendall take the hint that he wanted to be left alone and go away, but it did not work that way at all.
Blue was forced out of his bed on a Sunday morning to go answer the door after the non stop knocking. He stomped to the front door with an awful glower on his face.
"Kendall, I don’t want to be–" Blue cut his statement short when he realized that it was not Kendall at the door.
Instead, it was Sasha and Easton, Winter’s parents, dressed in evening party outfits.
"Mom. Dad. It’s you guys." Blue flushed with embarrassment as he acknowledged them.
Over the years, he’d become accustomed to calling them his parents as they were actually playing the role in his life.
"My baby..." Sasha quickly caught Blue in a tight hug as she invited herself into his apartment.
How they knew his address? Blue had no idea.
"Mom, you’re squeezing my life out." Blue tapped Sasha’s shoulders, reminding her that he was dying.
The woman was a big hugger who didn’t know how to control her strength when wrapping her arms around a person.
"Oh, I’m so sorry." Sasha apologized, releasing Blue.
At that time, Easton had already entered the house and shut the door behind him.
"You guys came here so suddenly. I didn’t get to prepare..." Blue looked around his place as he spoke.
The place was riddled with takeouts and clothes laying in the most odd locations. Blue could do anything else in the world other than cleaning up after himself.
When staying with Winter, Winter had been the one to do the dishes, laundry, and every other cleaning chore. All Blue had to do was make sure to eat, sleep, and spread his legs.
Winter was his little house husband.
Now that Blue was living alone once again, there was no one to clean up after him or tell him to throw his takeout packets.
Besides, the stuff around the house made him feel like he wasn’t that lonely. There was always a can to trip on if he felt like he couldn’t feel anything.
"It’s alright. It’s fine." Sasha caressed Blue’s cheek with an understanding smile on her face.
"I’ll have a cleaning lady and a chef come down here. My son shouldn’t be doing such stressful things." Easton said to Blue.
Blue was touched. He put away the clothes that had been laying on his longest couch and wiped down the chair, hoping it was clean enough for the two billionaires to sit on.
However, they weren’t fussy as they say down, dragging Blue down along with them, and squeezing him between the two of them.
"So..." Easton began speaking, wanting to address the matter of the day.
Blue could immediately tell that Winter must have told them about his pregnancy. Just the way Blue had told them about him and Winter’s breakup.
"How are you holding up? Are you okay?" Sasha draped an arm around Blue’s shoulders as she asked him those questions, wanting to provide a sense of warmth for him.
"I’m okay. I’m fine." Blue spoke naturally.
"You can tell us anything, Blue. We’re your parents. We’re here for you." Easton said kindly.
Blue felt his stomach coil after hearing Easton say those words. It wasn’t the first time Easton had said such a thing to him, but each time, he felt his words and tone were more sincere than the last time.
And he felt like he could actually tell them anything as they were his parents who were there for him.
"It’s fine. You can tell us." Sasha held Blue close as she spoke, her touch driving him to that edge that made him breakdown.
"I’m scared." Blue confessed.
"What are you scared of?" Easton inquired softly.
He was scared of being away from Winter for so long. Scared that Winter might have lost interest with him and would only be concerned about the child he was carrying. Scared that having a baby wasn’t and didn’t fix things between them.
Scared that he couldn’t actually live without Winter having lived with him before for so long.
Blue poured out all of his thoughts to Easton and Sasha, and they listened without being obnoxious or extra the entire time.
At the end of it all, Blue was comforted and reassured, uplifting his mood and quenching a few of his fears. But there were still unspoken doubts hidden in his heart.
"We’ve talked for so long. I’m so sorry, I didn’t offer you guys anything." Blue said, suddenly realizing that he was being a bad host.
"Don’t worry about that, we’re fine." Sasha said with the wave of a hand.
Blue was internally grateful for her response. It was not like he even had anything worthwhile to offer them. Blue had very low tastes in comparison to the couple.
"What about your movie? I heard that the shooting wrapped up this week. What are your plans for–"
Knock! Knock! Knock!
The sound of knocking cut Easton off. Blue frowned and stood up.
"Excuse me, I’ll go check who’s at the door." Blue excused himself from the guests and walked to his front door.
Opening it, Blue saw that it was Kendall standing at the other side. His first thought was to slam the door shut, but he noticed that Kendall was holding something in his hand.
He was wearing oven mitts in his hand and holding steaming pie. Blue internally facepalmed himself at Kendall’s expense.
"I wanted to apologize for annoying you. And I was making pie, so..." Kendall trailed off.
Blue stared at him deadpan.
"I’ll go put it in the kitchen!" Kendall offered with a bright smile on his face.
Blue rubbed his forehead tiredly and said with an exhausted tone, "Whatever."
Then he widened the opening of his door so that Kendall could come in properly. But as soon as Kendall took a step into the house, he stopped walking.
