Secret Wealthy Marriage
Chapter 94 - 94 94 Just Like Me

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Just Like Me Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Just Like Me Half an hour later, a fat bald man got up from the messy bed, got dressed, went to the bathroom to freshen up, and ten minutes later, he resumed his appearance of dignity.

The man left a stack of money, then left.

Matilda Ferguson looked at the stack of money with indifference, feeling extremely desolate inside. If her parents and aunt knew that George Morris was treating her like a high-class prostitute, would they want to kill George Morris?

But what could they do, the Fergusons were powerless, relying on George Morris, a tree that could be snapped at any moment. She really thought her parents deserved this, as if it was Heaven’s cruel punishment for them.

However, the one bearing such a price was Matilda Ferguson herself.

All these were not her most painful; for her, the most painful thing was that Bryan Cooper simply did not give her a chance. She had put in so much effort to get Bryan’s phone number, but he never picked up her calls.

Thinking of the past, all she had to do was miss him, and Bryan would leave his work for her and accompany her in school. How sweet they were together back then! It hadn’t been long, and her world had already turned upside down.

No one was to blame but Matilda Ferguson herself, who had failed to endure Heaven’s test. As soon as Bryan stumbled, she was forced to leave. To everyone else, all they saw was her abandoning him, but no one could see the pain in her heart.

Only after the man left did Matilda to get off the bed, take a shower, and redo her makeup.

When Matilda came out, George Morris had already returned. He smiled, “Matilda, Mr. Wu really enjoyed your service. He promised to sign the contract with me tomorrow. I really owe you for this.”

“Don’t ask me to do such things again in the future, our family’s debt to you is almost paid off.” Matilda looked at George Morris. If it weren’t for Ailin Ferguson’s Tea House being funded by George Morris back then, would she be in such a passive position now?

Now, she had already convinced Ailin Ferguson, and Ailin was somewhat regretful for standing with Matilda’s parents and persuading her to go with George Morris.

She couldn’t have imagined that Bryan would regain his footing so quickly. In just one year, he became a business rookie whom everyone wanted to get on good terms with. George Morris’s projects were repeatedly obstructed, and she hardly believed it was a coincidence.

Thus, Ailin finally realized how wrong they were, thinking Bryan would never rise again. Regret came late.

However, Matilda refused to believe what Ailin said, insisting that Bryan wouldn’t be so ruthless to her.

“Rest assured, once I secure Mr. Wu’s contract, you won’t need to sacrifice yourself anymore.” George Morris readily agreed, confident that Mr. Wu’s money would be enough for him to continue confronting Bryan, perhaps even turning the tide of defeat.

“Since I’ve secured such a big contract for you, shouldn’t you do something for me too?” Matilda reached for the cigarette box on the bedside table, took out a cigarette, and lit it.

The once pure Matilda was gone, replaced by a woman who now indulged in cigarettes and wine.

“Of course, of course. You might not believe it, but that morning, Bryan drove out with Carolline Ruiz.” As George Morris spoke the truth, he carefully observed Matilda’s expression.

The burning cigarette slipped from Matilda’s fingertips.

Carolline Ruiz? It was actually Carolline Ruiz!

Matilda could hardly imagine why it would be Carolline. She thought their relationship was merely an unrequited love on Carolline’s part, who didn’t even dare to make her feelings public.

Yet, how could Bryan pay attention to Carolline and come out of the same place as her?

“Are you serious?” Matilda didn’t want to believe it and asked for confirmation again.

“What’s the point of lying at this point?” George Morris rolled his eyes as if he had just thought of something. He took two pictures from his suit pocket. “Here are the photos; you can see for yourself.”

Matilda looked at the photos and tore them to shreds in the next second. “You said before that you would help me with anything I wanted, right?”

“Yes, that still stands today.” George Morris squinted his eyes, waiting for Matilda to take the initiative to strike a deal. They had been discussing cooperation before, but Matilda had hesitated due to Bryan. He didn’t force her.

He had learned to be patient, waiting for the fish to bite the hook on its own and then striking hard, preferably right at Bryan’s weakest point.

Actually, those two pictures alone couldn’t prove any intimate relationship between Carolline and Bryan. However, women tended to be jealous, especially since Matilda cared so much about Carolline. George Morris came up with this idea to provoke Matilda.

“I want Carolline to become like me.” Matilda’s beautiful eyes were filled with intense hatred, making her appear somewhat ferocious and terrifying.

“Like you?” George Morris didn’t quite understand the meaning of these words. Matilda was now a high-end prostitute, but that was because she had no choice and had compromised. Most importantly, she was willing to do it. But how could a woman like Carolline be willing to become like her?

“Find someone to defile her, make her as tainted as me. Do you understand now?” Matilda turned her head, looking at George Morris as if he was a fool.

“…Alright, I understand.” George Morris had to admit that Matilda was ruthless. However, it wouldn’t be easy to harm Carolline, a woman who lived a regular life and never ventured to places she shouldn’t. “But it won’t be easy to pull this off, so you have to promise me one condition.”

“Go ahead.” Matilda felt she had nothing to lose now. Since Bryan was so determined not to have her back, probably because she was tainted, then she’d make Carolline the same and see what he would do.
