Vaness Taylor and Ellie were very good friends. Vaness never married in her life. Ellie met that man and went with him to Kyoto. She then secretly became his kept woman. Later on, Vaness followed them to Kyoto too and reportedly started working at an orphanage. Two years later, she became the dean of that orphanage.

Both were truly good friends. Ellie was content as a mistress without disrupting the man’s family, while Vaness decided she’d never marry, intending to contribute something to society.
