Chapter 854: 011 The real reason behind Mi’s mother’s death_4

"I have something to take care of in a bit," Ryan Parker nodded to them, a form of greeting.

"The report will be out tomorrow morning. Clear your schedule for tomorrow, Ryan. In the afternoon, we’ll hold a press conference to announce our father-son relationship," Marcus Parker told Ryan Parker about the upcoming plans.

"Do we really need to be that formal? Wouldn’t it be enough to just show it to Zoey and the others?" Ellie Wilton felt that holding a press conference was like slapping the faces of the several children. And the old lady, as well as the former Mrs. Parker, she thought it wasn’t very nice.

"Of course, it has to be formal. I, Marcus Parker, have such an excellent son. If I don’t declare it to the world, I won’t feel satisfied," Marcus Parker said happily, thinking how none of his four children had made him proud.

Moreover, if Zoey Parker dared to speak to him, her father, like that, he needed to show her his firm determination as a father.

"Alright, I got it. The day after tomorrow, Celia and I are going to M Country. Do you want to come with us?" As for the press conference, Ryan Parker wasn’t opposed to it, nor was he too expectant.

"Is it to meet Celia’s father?" Ellie Wilton asked tentatively.

"Yes, I plan to marry Celia by the latest on Labor Day. So, it’s necessary for both parents to meet. Sorry for the trouble, Mom and Dad, to make a special trip for our sake," Ryan Parker said respectfully.

"What are you talking about? This is what Mom and Dad should do for you. Alright, the day after tomorrow, our family will go to M Country," Marcus Parker was not pleased with Ryan’s formality but was also very happy.

Ryan Parker wasn’t young anymore; it was time for him to get married and have children. He was still looking forward to seeing the birth of the treasured grandson he longed for.

Alexander Parker, on the other hand, had married and had children early, spreading the family’s branches early. His eldest grandson was already in his teens. However, Marcus Parker really didn’t like Alexander Parker very much, and by extension, he didn’t like the daughter-in-law he had brought into the family nor the grandson she had borne. Jack Parker and Oscar Parker also had wives, but they each only had one child. He still enjoyed playing with his granddaughters and grandsons from them, probably because Alexander Parker lacked competence but had big ambitions, compounded by the fact that he was Hannah Browman’s favorite son, Marcus Parker didn’t know why, but he just couldn’t bring himself to like his eldest son.

Yet among the four children, he was indeed the most capable and willing to contribute to the Parker Group. But his plans and ideas for the group never quite satisfied Marcus Parker.

Now, everything had finally come full circle. Although there weren’t many days left in his life, being able to enjoy such familial happiness was also a fulfillment of life.

"Thank you, Mom and Dad," Ryan Parker was very grateful that they would do this for him.

After lunch, Celia Wade had not yet gotten up. This lazy cat could treat this place just like she was at the Wade Family’s home, which made Ryan Parker very happy since he wanted her to feel unrestrained.

Her personality was to go with the flow. If she had not had such a good temperament, he thought her life would not have been easy over the years, and he didn’t know what choices to make back then. Perhaps their relationship was destined to be a lifelong regret.

When Ah Hua arrived in Kyoto, it was nearly noon. The flight had been delayed a bit due to smog. Ah Hua kept apologizing, but Ryan Parker didn’t think it was a big deal.

As it was nearing noon, it was natural to find a restaurant to treat Ah Hua to lunch.

Ryan Parker drove to a signature Kyoto restaurant, chose a private room, and let Ah Hua order the dishes. He then called Celia Wade, who, along with Xiao He, was out shopping in Kyoto. Hearing that he wasn’t coming back for lunch, she also decided not to return for it.

Ryan Parker chuckled. The two girls knew how to enjoy themselves, which was good. "Alright, once I’m done here, I’ll call you, and then I’ll come to pick you up."

"Mm, okay, I’m just taking Xiao He around the mall to buy her some clothes," Celia Wade had originally thought it was the beginning of spring, and the weather should be warming up, so she brought Xiao He out to shop for a couple of thicker clothes to keep her warm.

Xiao He said it was not necessary and that she could have her family send some, but Celia Wade found it cumbersome to mail them over. Considering the malls were all running sales promotions, trying to capitalize on the tail end of the Spring Festival, selling more was to their benefit.

"Mm, and buy some for yourself, too." Ryan Parker nodded, realizing it had been a long time since he had bought clothes for Celia Wade.
