Ryan Parker had changed his phone number. When he called Jackson Clarke, they generally used ringtone patterns as a secret code, so he hung up after three rings, hung up again after two more rings, then on the third attempt, Jackson answered the call.

"Mr. Wade?" Upon seeing the unfamiliar phone number, which used the secret code method previously agreed with Jordy Wade, Jackson immediately answered, his tone filled with excitement.

"Jackson, you’ve had a tough time, but your days of suffering won’t be long," Ryan Parker promised on this end. If he truly took over Parker Group, he would naturally need his own people, and Jackson would definitely be his first choice.

"Yes, Mr. Wade. Do you have any instructions for me?" Jackson also felt relieved. Being around Avery Saunders and her daughter every day was exhausting, and he couldn’t wait to leave.

"Mm, keep a close eye on that nurse. I’ll book a ticket to come over the day after tomorrow or the day after that. Then we’ll figure out a way to get her to tell the truth," Ryan pondered. The fact that he heard the words "Mrs. Wade" from Jackson’s mouth, and that the nurse had successfully blackmailed Avery for money, made him suspect something.

However, what he suspected wasn’t the reality. What he needed to do now was unearth the actual truth. Someone had been carrying the blame for this for many years, and it was time to uncover the real facts.

"Alright, rest assured. That little nurse has already stopped working at the Hospital, and what’s more, your little nurse has fallen in love with gambling. I reckon it won’t be easy for Avery to fill that hole," Jackson offered his own analysis.

"Good, that’s reassuring. I’ll contact you again when I’m back. Oh, and don’t call me Mr. Wade anymore, call me Ryan Parker." Ryan also informed Jackson about his name change.

"...Yes," Jackson mumbled a response after a moment.

"Okay, I’ll hang up now." Ryan ended the call.

These matters could only be seen as fortune smiling upon them. If it wasn’t for Jackson’s chance encounter of that woman making a phone call, and his investigation that revealed she was the nurse who had taken care of Mrs. Wade during her hospital stay, some truths may have indeed remained buried at the bottom of the sea.

This could only mean that good people receive good karma, while the bad surely get their dues.

After finishing all the calls, Ryan finally grabbed his clothes and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. The main rooms in the separate courtyard each had their own Health Room, and Celia’s room had one too.

After his shower, Ryan lay in bed, took out a calendar, and planned his activities for the next couple of days. He’d wait for Ah Hua to bring the video he requested, and at the latest, the day after tomorrow, he’d take Celia back to M Country.

Some issues had to be resolved.

Once those were taken care of, his wedding with Celia could proceed as planned. Of course, upon returning, he might have to face a significant battle with the Parker children. If they behaved well, then there would be no conflict. But if they were insensitive, they couldn’t blame him—Ryan knew what Alexander Parker was capable of.

He could understand why his father wanted to give Parker Group to him. If it were a group he had created himself, he too would pass it on to someone capable of managing it. Alexander lacked that capability, while Zoey had some guts, but unfortunately, she was a woman, and her ambition was entirely spent on power struggles. The other two, Jack and Oscar, were content with owning shares of Parker Group and enjoying their annual dividends.

Therefore, if he really took over Parker Group, all he needed was for Alexander and Zoey to concede. He believed the group’s veterans wouldn’t have much different views from his father’s—the competent should be in charge.

These problems weren’t significant. Presently, the most important thing was to provide Celia with a brand new and happy future, along with a lavish wedding.

Thinking of this, Ryan smiled more frequently these days.

The next morning, Ryan got up early. Celia and Xiao He talked late into the night, so when they returned to their rooms it was already late, and Ryan didn’t have anyone wake them.

Ellie Wilton and Marcus Parker also rose early and saw that Ryan had gotten up even earlier and was already having breakfast. They walked over, and the servant brought over their breakfast as well.

"Is Celia still sleeping?" Ellie asked about Celia first, followed naturally by her son, "You both just got back last night and must be tired. Why didn’t you sleep in a bit longer?"
