Chapter 855: 011 The real reason behind Mi’s mother’s death_5
"I have enough clothes to wear, no need for more." She used to love luxury and had the means to afford it, but even though she still could, she no longer wished to chase after those so-called brand new collections.
As long as there were enough clothes to wear, that was sufficient; there was no need to buy specific ones for special occasions.
"..." Ryan Parker felt a twinge of heartache, "then I’ll hang up first, I’ll come to find you all in a bit."
"Okay." Celia Wade felt somewhat reluctant to let go, but she knew he had matters to attend to and did not distract him further.
Back at the table, A’Hua wasn’t very good at ordering, and the waiter’s face darkened upon hearing A’Hua’s choices. Was this really Thomas Clark coming to the city? To come here and order just a few vegetarian dishes, completely ignoring their signature dishes.
A’Hua actually wanted to try those attractive-looking dishes too, but considering his flat wallet, he felt embarrassed. He had recently purchased some new equipment, and the Magazine Agency had yet to pay him for his manuscript. He wasn’t the type to take advantage of others, especially considering the generous amount Ryan Parker had already given him.
Of course, Ryan Parker was going to pay him a final installment today, and with that payment, he could have treated Ryan Parker to a meal. However, he already had plans for that money, so he had to thicken his skin and allow Ryan Parker to be the host.
"For these dishes, keep two and replace the rest with your signature dishes, bring them all out," Ryan Parker said, returning to the table and glancing at the order. Without looking at the menu, he directly instructed.
"Yes, sir, please wait a moment," the waiter responded, now pleased as his chance for a bonus increased.
"President Parker, I’m really sorry for making you spend again," A’Hua laughed awkwardly. He could easily call him by name over the phone without seeing his face, but now, face-to-face, he felt they were on completely different levels and it was difficult to address him so informally.
"It’s okay, did you bring everything I asked for?" Ryan Parker directly extended his hand, asking for it.
"Yes, I brought it. Do you want to check it first?" A’Hua nodded, taking out the USB drive, which contained the stored videos, from his pocket and handing it to him.
"Sure, it would be good to look at it," Ryan Parker said, nodding his head.
There were several clips on the drive, and Ryan Parker opened each one. The last video, lasting a minute, was clear enough to show Avery Saunders hesitate for a few seconds upon seeing the approaching car and then rushing out—evidence of Avery Saunders intentionally causing the accident.
It was indeed a coincidence. That day, A’Hua was supposed to follow Celia Wade, but instead, ended up capturing Avery Saunders’s true colors on camera by mistake. He was curious to see if Avery Saunders had anything to say for herself now.
Without this video, everything previously was just based on Ryan Parker’s analysis, which without evidence, could be denied by Avery Saunders and the Saunders Family in a matter of minutes. They would even turn the blame around. But with this video, he believed, no matter how shameless the Saunders were, they couldn’t make light of the truth, as the audience’s eyes were sharp and clear.
Knowing now that it was a fluke that A’Hua was on scene and got those incredible video clips, perhaps he wouldn’t have foolishly taken on the blame for so many overlapping incidents and the mess that was Avery Saunders.
Looking back, the doctor at the Hospital where Avery Saunders was taken, even if not associated with the Saunders Family, must have been bought out by them. They exaggerated her condition to seem as if she would be disabled for the rest of her life.
"Very well," Ryan Parker said at once, taking out his phone, "I’m transferring the final payment to your account right now."
Within two minutes, A’Hua received the final payment from Ryan Parker, and seeing an additional ten thousand than previously agreed, A’Hua hurriedly said, "We agreed on ninety thousand before, President Parker, you’ve added an extra ten thousand."
"Your filming skills are good; consider it an encouragement to capture more meaningful things," Ryan Parker said with a smile.
He spent a total of two hundred thousand to purchase the video clips from A’Hua.
A’Hua had no friends or relatives in Kyoto, so he planned to rush back that night. After the meal, Ryan Parker personally took him to the airport, bought him a ticket for the next flight back, and then called Celia Wade to pick them up.
