Chapter 838: 009 Call me Beichen_2
The Wade Family also had servants to attend to them, but Celia Wade had never been so enthusiastically served by a servant before. She and Ryan Parker were very easygoing people, and even though they had hired servants at home, they did most of the things themselves if they were able to.
However, the servants here seemed to be well-trained, ready to provide whatever you needed as soon as they sensed a need, and Celia Wade couldn’t help but admire them.
Not long after Celia Wade sat down, she received a call from Carolline Ruiz. Carolline had ended her honeymoon early, cutting short her originally planned month-long trip to just three weeks because she was pregnant with her second child.
Bryan Hawkins cherished the ’little princess’ he thought was in Carolline’s belly so much that they came back early. They brought gifts for everyone, and he called her to tell her to come by and pick up her gift when she had time.
Celia Wade happily agreed and said she would find some time to go back. She had wanted to share her good news with Carolline, but then Bryan Hawkins grabbed the phone from her, "Celia, that’s it for now. Pregnant women should use mobile phones less. Come over for dinner when you have time, we’re hosting."
Without waiting for Celia Wade’s reply, Bryan Hawkins hung up the phone. From his tone, he sounded utterly delighted and content.
Celia Wade was happy for them too; these two really lived a blissful life. With Axel, such a precious son, and another child on the way, the life of a family of four seemed very warm and cozy to her.
But that phone call ended too abruptly. There was no way she could make it back tonight; so, Celia Wade composed a text message to Carolline, and while doing so, she casually changed Jordy Wade’s name to Ryan Parker, and mentioned the successful surgery and memory recovery.
As for the other details, she would explain them when she returned. She was sure to find time for a visit.
"Going back to G City? When? I’ll accompany you back," Celia Wade walked over, and Ryan Parker said to her. Marcus Parker and Ellie WIlton suddenly looked a bit concerned—could his body handle the trip back to G City right after being discharged from the hospital?
Moreover, what worried them was whether the couple would come back if they went to G City or whether they would just stay there.
But at this time, they dared not ask too much.
"Let’s wait for another day. Carolline’s pregnant with her second child; we should go and see the happy pregnant woman," Celia Wade said with a smile, "And Megan Clifton and Andy Aguirre, they’ve had children too; we need to visit them as well."
So, a trip back to G City was definitely needed; it was just a question of timing. Celia Wade also worried about Ryan Parker’s ability to cope healthwise so soon after leaving the hospital and, given that they had just recognized their relatives, it seemed inappropriate for him to leave with her right away. In fact, her plan was to go back alone first.
The people around Carolline, like her and Avery, were ones without even one child, so this girl was truly living a dream.
No wonder everyone envied her so much.
"Really? Going for a second child?" Seeing the look of anticipation and envy on Celia Wade’s face, Ryan Parker knew that Celia actually liked children a lot, which was evident from her behavior around Axel. She had complained to him for a long time when she failed to become Axel’s godmother and had been upset about it for a while. So, the first thing they should do after getting married should be to have a baby. He believed Celia would be the most qualified mother, and he too would be a qualified husband and father.
"Yes, Axel is six years old now; it’s time for a second child. If the age gap is too big, it’s not great. Over six but not yet seven is the perfect age difference." They chatted away.
They were talking about people Marcus Parker and Ellie WIlton were not familiar with, but they knew their conversation revolved around their friends.
As long as they weren’t leaving immediately, they had no objections.
"Is that the perfect age difference?" Ryan Parker focused on the latter part of the conversation and began to calculate the age difference between them. They were eight years apart; he was already thirty-three, almost thirty-four. If they hurried, Celia would be the youngest mother at twenty-six.
Compared to Carolline, it was much later, as Carolline was already mother to two children at her age.
They were not going to catch up with Carolline and her husband any time soon, but that was okay. There were people in their forties still becoming parents. Fortunately, Celia was still in the prime childbearing years for a woman; as for him, it didn’t matter too much.
"Yeah." Celia Wade didn’t know what Ryan Parker was pondering and simply nodded innocently.
