"But if we also have two kids and there’s such a big age gap, by then you won’t be at the ideal age for childbearing anymore," Ryan Parker’s concern was precisely this.

Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton understood and sat there, muffling their laughter. It was only Celia Wade who looked bewildered and when she realized what Ryan was talking about, her face blushed a deep red. How did he become like this all of a sudden, she thought, finding it difficult to adjust.

"...What nonsense are you talking about?" Celia Wade protested in a tiny voice, lacking any convincing power.

"This isn’t nonsense at all, this is a good thing," Ellie Wilton said laughing. Most families are now allowed to have two children, and they could actually have a few more if they wanted, seeing as she could help with taking care of them.

"..." Celia Wade simply stopped talking, realizing the more she talked, the worse it got. She wished she had never brought up the topic.

Marcus Parker sent someone to prepare lunch, feeling an unprecedented satisfaction with life surrounded by his family.

"Ryan, would you like to return to your room to rest a bit?" Marcus asked, noting there was still an hour before lunch and there was time for a quick nap.

"Yes, let’s go see your respective rooms," Ellie Wilton stood up, saying this. She originally planned to prepare just one room, for Celia to move straight into Ryan’s room, but it was Marcus who suggested preparing a separate one for Celia, considering they weren’t yet married. They didn’t mind, but they weren’t sure what Celia would think.

"Okay." Both nodded, as there wasn’t much for them to do sitting in the living room.

Ryan Parker thought he could also take the opportunity to make a few phone calls.

As the three of them walked toward the staircase, before they could go upstairs, they heard the butler come in to report to Marcus, "Master, the Young Master is here again, and Lady Zoey has come along too."

Upon hearing Alexander Parker and Zoey Parker had returned, Marcus’s expression instantly darkened. What was going on with these two recently, always giving him trouble?

"Tell them to go back, say I don’t want to see them today," Marcus directly instructed.

"They said... they’re here to see the lady and Young Master Ryan," the butler said, bowing his head. He had already tried to persuade the Young Master and Lady Zoey on the master’s behalf, but they were insistent on not leaving.

"..." Marcus’s face grew even darker after hearing this, as the two had become increasingly brazen.

"Let them in, Marcus," Ellie Wilton approached him and said.

Ryan Parker and Celia Wade exchanged a glance; they too gave up on going upstairs, instead entrusting the servants to bring their belongings to the rooms, following the others as they went.

"Ryan, you go upstairs," Ellie Wilton knowing today’s visitors meant trouble, didn’t intend for Ryan and Celia to confront them alongside her. Since those two were looking for her, she figured she could handle them alone.

"No need. Didn’t the butler say they were looking for me and you? Now that I’ve changed my name and taken the Parker surname, sooner or later I’ll have to face them. It’s better to do it early than late," not to mention they had come looking for him – what was he supposed to do, hide upstairs?

"Alright, you all don’t need to worry; I’m here," Marcus Parker had also made up his mind. During Ryan’s hospital stay, Marcus had gone back and told his four children about the situation and the existence of Ryan Parker. The eldest and second child’s faces had turned sour at the news; they hadn’t raised any objections then, probably contemplating their next move.

Now, had they come up with something? So they planned to bypass him and come straight to Ellie Wilton and Ryan Parker? With such audacity, did they truly no longer regard him as a father?

"Bring them in," Marcus Parker said to the butler.

Alexander Parker and Zoey Parker soon followed the butler inside. They, of course, knew their father was at home, as Ryan Parker had been discharged from the hospital that day, and it was certain that Marcus would be at home with his son.

They had chosen this day specifically to lay all the cards on the table in front of everyone, with the two younger siblings absent due to them being carefree; anyhow, with the shares of Parker Group given by Marcus, they wouldhave no worries about food and clothing for life, which is why they didn’t join the older two in this pursuit.

However, it was different for them. Their inheritance of Parker Group was supposed to be equally divided among the four children. Even though their father had married Ellie Wilton, she had stated her position beforehand, not to compete with them for the Parker Group.
