Chapter 807: Chapter 807 Mysteriously Familiar (3)
"Uh..." the waiter froze, realizing that the boss before her had an uncanny ability to read minds. Whatever she intended to say next, he already knew, and he had rejected her before she could even speak. It seemed that there was truly no convincing him.
Eventually, the waiter completely gave up trying to persuade him.
Jordy Wade finally got the quiet he wanted.
When Ellie Wilton arrived, she saw Jordy Wade sitting there drinking coffee. She handed her things to the person next to her and walked over to him.
Without asking any questions, Ellie Wilton simply sat down and looked at Jordy Wade, "Mr. Wade, you’re here again?"
"Mrs. Parker, do you need something? I’m running a business with an open door; can’t I come here?" Jordy Wade’s tone was very confrontational, extremely so.
"..." Ellie Wilton had never encountered someone like him. She thought she had always been quite polite to others, and she felt a strong impulse to leave immediately. But ultimately, Ellie Wilton restrained herself, "Mr. Wade, I don’t know if there’s been some misunderstanding between you, me, or my current husband. Why do you seem to always be biased against us?"
In fact, it wasn’t bias but rather prejudice; that was Ellie Wilton’s feeling.
Just last night, after the couple went home and lay in bed, they involuntarily started talking about Jordy Wade again. Marcus Parker talked about how Jordy Wade had refused to do business with him before and also told her about the Wade Family’s accident.
Ellie Wilton felt deeply sympathetic. However, after hearing the Wade Family’s story, she took the side of Jordy Wade and the Wade Family lady. If they were not blood siblings, then falling in love and being together was quite normal.
She couldn’t understand why the Wade couple had opposed it so fiercely, even causing one of them a heart attack, leading to the Wade Family’s tragedy.
Perhaps she spent a lifetime loving, for Ellie Wilton’s thoughts were always so emotional.
Marcus Parker also found it very normal; it wasn’t illegal, nor was it incest. The Wade couple were truly too traditional.
Those so-called onlookers who claim the moral high ground are also ridiculous, with their belief that just because they had been raised as siblings for over a decade and shared the last name Wade, they shouldn’t fall in love and marry.
It’s a joke, really. By that logic, do people with the same surname not marry and have children? Aren’t the children going to take on the same family name regardless of which parent they follow?
Ellie Wilton didn’t make too many comments on the Wade Family’s tragedy; she just felt it was a pity. How could parents with a heart bear to abandon a child as outstanding as Jordy Wade?
Then, she fell into silence, tossing and turning all night, troubled by the early death of her son.
For many years, she dared not recall any memories related to her son because every time she did, the pain in her heart was unbearable, a pain that she couldn’t suppress. If she could turn back time to that rainy night, would she still have sent her son to the orphanage?
Without sending him there, the subsequent accident wouldn’t have happened.
Her son wouldn’t have died.
It wasn’t until the latter half of the night that Ellie Wilton recovered from the pain of losing her son. Even after so many years, the pain was naturally not as severe, but even now, each recollection was heart-wrenchingly painful.
"Mrs. Parker, as a customer in your shop, I’d like some peace to drink my coffee. Please allow me that," Jordy Wade didn’t answer her but instead issued a direct order for her to leave.
"..." Ellie Wilton took a deep breath, stood up, and left, giving him the quiet he wanted.
On the surface, Jordy Wade seemed very calm, but inside he was still tumultuous. He didn’t mean it that way; he actually wanted to ask her if she remembered what she had done, like sending a little boy to an orphanage.
