Chapter 806: Chapter 806 The Inexplicable Familiarity (2)

"Yes, he’s a business prodigy, a very capable young man," Marcus Parker nodded.

The words that kept repeating in his head were Jordy Wade’s: ’No reason, just because you’re Marcus Parker.’"

To tell the truth, when he first heard this, he was bewildered. Did he, Marcus Parker, really come across so unfavorably in Jordy Wade’s eyes? Or had he done something to disillusion him this much?

Marcus Parker found it quite baffling, never realizing that in others’ perceptions, he was seen so negatively.

He had always thought he managed his interpersonal relationships quite well.

"Really? What’s his name?" Ellie WIlton rarely saw Marcus Parker admire a young person, Marcus himself being quite capable.

"Jordy Wade. However, some unfortunate events happened in the Wade Family a few years back, and he left the Wade Family," he knew about the incidents at the Wade Family; it was when the Wade Family lady fell in love with her own brother, and it was then that the public learned that Jordy Wade was not the biological son of the Wade Family.

What everyone initially perceived as an unusual sibling love suddenly became accepted. The two were childhood sweethearts, grew up together; their love seemed natural. But Jordy Wade was a responsible man; after Avery Saunders, the Saunders Family lady, had a car accident because of him and became disabled, he didn’t shirk his responsibility, taking care of her with dedication and humility at the Saunders Family until Avery Saunders completely recovered.

"He’s Jordy Wade?!" Ellie WIlton had actually seen Jordy Wade once, perhaps at a business banquet or a charity banquet. The Jordy Wade she saw then seemed radiant.

Lately, for some unknown reason, Jordy Wade gradually faded from sight, and the Wade Family’s influence also declined. She wasn’t the type to gossip, so she didn’t specifically seek out those so-called rumors.

Yet the legends about Jordy Wade remained vivid in her memory.

"You’ve heard of him too?" Marcus Parker was surprised that they both admired this young man, yet they had never mentioned him to each other before.

"Yes, just heard of him," Ellie WIlton nodded.

"It’s getting late; let’s head back," Marcus Parker didn’t expound further on the Wade Family, and besides, it really was getting late.

"Yes," Ellie WIlton nodded in agreement.

The two embraced and got into the car.

The next day, Jordy Wade got up early from bed.

After breakfast at the hotel, he found himself drawn again to Ellie Wilton’s Café. The shop assistant who served him yesterday recognized him instantly.

"Sir, you’re here? What would you like today?" The waiter was very enthusiastic, thinking that since this gentleman was coming so frequently, maybe with a little persuasion, he would agree to get a membership card.

"The same, a pot of the signature coffee," Jordy Wade said indifferently, "No pastries today."

"All right, please wait a moment," the waiter nodded, heading to the kitchen to place Jordy Wade’s order.

As making coffee takes a bit of time, the waiter took a pastry from the display case and brought it over to Jordy Wade, "Sir, please don’t misunderstand. As you are one of our top ten clients for today, this piece of Black Forest Cake is on the house. It isn’t too sweet, so please enjoy."

"Thank you," Jordy Wade nodded and accepted it. As the waiter prepared to continue the conversation about getting a membership card, Jordy Wade spoke first, "You don’t need to persuade me to get a card. I won’t be staying in Kyoto long-term. If I were, you wouldn’t need to convince me; I’d get one myself."
