"Carolline, what do you mean by that? Don’t you know that Jasmine is pregnant right now? What are you trying to do, drive a wedge between her and her husband?" Bonnie Jenkins was very angry. She had never thought that Carolline would do such a thing. It’s one thing to slander Christopher Lopez, but to say something that could hurt Jasmine and cause a miscarriage, that was going too far.

"Do I need to do that? Aunt, I came to the hospital today and saw my brother-in-law with a woman to visit a patient. Their relationship didn’t look ordinary. I just wanted to remind you because I know Jasmine’s current situation." Carolline said earnestly.

The main reason was that Christopher Lopez’s interaction with that woman today was too obvious. Therefore, she felt there was a problem. It was common for men to have affairs when their wives were pregnant, and Jasmine was a very stubborn woman. If she found out about this, Carolline didn’t know what she would think.

That’s why she told Bonnie, hoping to protect Jasmine from any emotional distress. Perhaps the two of them had just started and stopping them in their tracks would be better.

"We know what kind of person Christopher Lopez is, Carolline. I asked you for a small favor, and you’re giving me all these excuses and even slander his character. I really didn’t expect you to be this kind of person. Forget it, your aunt won’t bother you anymore." Bonnie said and left, ignoring Carolline’s attempts to explain.

Carolline was at a loss for words. Her aunt couldn’t even accept the truth.

After leaving Carolline’s office, Bonnie still couldn’t shake off her frustration, so she went to Henry Ruiz’s office to wait for him.

When Henry finished his surgery and saw Bonnie, he asked, "What happened? Is Jasmine hospitalized?"

"No, Big Brother." Bonnie shook her head. "I have something to talk to you about."

"Alright, go ahead." Henry washed his hands and sat opposite Bonnie.

Then, Bonnie talked about the whole incident, including what had happened in Carolline’s office. At the end, she summed up, "Big Brother, isn’t it true that Carolline is willing to help others enthusiastically, but when it comes to her own family, she’s reluctant? Besides, she even doubts Christopher’s character. It’s not like he only recently started dating Jasmine."

"Yes, you’re right. But Bonnie, you believe in Jasmine and Christopher, just like I believe in my daughter Carolline and Bryan Cooper. I think Bryan’s going on a business trip because he really has something to deal with, not because he wants to escape something. Besides, we’re all family. If Raymond needed help, Bryan would help him unconditionally. So why not help Jasmine? If you misunderstand the two of them, I’ll be unhappy, too. "..." Bonnie was speechless. How could she forget that Henry was a very protective father? How could he understand her reasoning?

"Big Brother, are you being too protective of Carolline?" Bonnie was very angry.

"Fine, I get it. Since you’re all so indifferent to family ties, I won’t bother coming to you. " After saying that, Bonnie left directly.

Henry didn’t try to stop her.

The father and daughter met to have dinner together in the canteen. When they discussed the issue, both of them believed that Bonnie was unreasonable and couldn’t even tell the difference between right and wrong.
