Caroline Ruiz kept forgetting to discuss the matter with Bryan Hawkins that Jasmine Ruiz had mentioned. Pregnant Jasmine had been waiting for news, but three days had passed without any word from Caroline.

Christopher Lopez was also anxious, but it wasn’t appropriate to press for information. Every day when he returned home, he would sigh and lament. Seeing this, Jasmine was worried and wanted to call Caroline right away to ask what was going on.

When she recalled the dinner at the Ruiz Family’s mansion and how Christopher had tried to toast Bryan, only to be rejected, Jasmine felt that Caroline and Bryan must really despise them.

"I’m going to call Caroline right now and ask what’s going on. That girl promised before, but it’s been so many days with no response." Jasmine tried to comfort Christopher’s heart.

"Why are you asking Caroline?" Bonnie Jenkins brought milk to Jasmine and overheard their conversation, asking in confusion.

Her daughter had been acting differently towards Caroline lately. On the day of the dinner, she had even spoken up for Caroline and asked her to go for a walk. Jasmine had changed so much.

"It’s nothing, mom." Jasmine didn’t want Bonnie to know about the difficulties Christopher was facing.

"Thank you, mom, for bringing milk to Jasmine." Christopher walked up to Bonnie, took the milk from her hand, and handed it to Jasmine.

"Mom, you can go back to your room and rest earlier. It’s fine since Brandon is here with me. You’ve worked hard." Jasmine wanted Bonnie to leave right away, so she could call Caroline.

"Okay, then." Bonnie knew that Jasmine wanted her to leave, so she didn’t say anything more and just turned and left.

Jasmine took a couple sips of her milk and put it down. She picked up the phone to call Caroline when Christopher’s phone rang.

He looked down, his eyes slightly hazy, and quickly hung up. But then, the phone rang again.

"Maybe it’s someone with an urgent matter. You should answer it. I’ll call Caroline myself." Jasmine said thoughtfully.

"Alright, thank you, dear." Christopher laughed, then leaned down to give Jasmine a kiss on the cheek before leaving the room with his phone.

"..." Jasmine watched as Christopher took his phone outside to answer it, while she thought he would pick it up in the room.

For a moment, she was at a loss, but she soon recovered. Their priority now was to help Christopher get through this difficult period so they could have their child in peace. She didn’t want him to worry about their future when she was giving birth.

They must help Christopher regain his confidence as soon as possible and keep Master Lopez from being disappointed in him.

Just as Jasmine called Caroline, Caroline had just finished taking a shower, and Bryan had gone in to take his. When Caroline saw that the incoming call was from Jasmine, she had completely forgotten about the matter Jasmine had asked her to handle earlier.
