Chapter 692: Chapter 692: Carolline Ruiz Gets Angry (7)

"I’m mad at him, so it’s best that he doesn’t follow me." In front of Celia, Carolline spoke the plain truth.

"What did your husband do to upset you this time?" Celia paused, wondering how such a caring husband could make his wife angry. It was not easy to do so.

"It’s infuriating just to think about it, so let’s not talk about it." Carolline waved her hand, not wanting to discuss it further.

Celia never forced her to talk about it. In a short while, her phone rang, and she answered, "...I told you, I quit. ...Fine, fine, I know. I will come tomorrow to take care of the paperwork, all right?"

With that, Celia hung up the phone.

"Who are you mad at this time?" Carolline asked as they cooled the soup.

Celia explained after completing her phone call, "My old boss, I’ve told him I quit, but he keeps pushing me to come to the office to handle some paperwork. I have told him that as soon as I deal with everything here, I will go."

"Oh." In terms of career, Carolline knew she couldn’t persuade Celia, and she didn’t plan to.

The two of them prepared the soup, and Carolline drove to the hospital where Jordy was staying.

On the way, Celia mentioned the idea of transferring Jordy to another hospital. Carolline felt that if Jordy’s condition had stabilized, it would be possible to transfer him.

Moreover, it would be better to transfer him to a hospital in the City District than to have him stay at a hospital in the suburbs. It was too tiring for Celia to run back and forth like this.

"Yes, I plan to buy a smaller villa for when he is discharged. The living environment will be better by then." Celia had new plans for the future.

In any case, they would never leave G City now, and there was no place else on earth that could attract her anymore.

"It’s a good idea. Just let me know if you need any help," Carolline nodded, always supporting Celia no matter what decision she made.

"Carolline, I knew you are the best." Celia smiled.

Carolline smiled back, always feeling sorry for Celia, worrying about the silly girl, who was now even more deserving of sympathy.

Sometimes, Carolline wished she could turn back time, back to when Celia was a bright and beautiful celebrity using the stage name Lucy Wade. At least then, she was energetic and adorable.

Carolline parked the car, and the two took the elevator to the ward. As soon as they reached the entrance, they ran into the Saunders family, including Avery and her parents. All were stopped by a diligent nurse.

Avery, being stopped, was furious, but there was nothing she could do. How could she prove her relationship with Jordy without any evidence?

"You guys can stop arguing. If you want to see the patient, go and talk to his sister. If she agrees to let you in, then you can go in." The nurse was relieved to see Celia arrived.

The nurse left after speaking. Celia walked over to Avery and looked down at her, still sitting in a wheelchair, "I thought you would be here the next day, but you took so long. Hasn’t your leg regained any feeling after all these years?"

"..." Avery, of course, understood Celia’s sarcasm, but she didn’t want to waste words on her. "I want to see Jordy."

"Of course, Miss Saunders. You’re always allowed to see him." Celia smiled, opened the door, and let Avery in, "Go ahead and see if I lied to you or not. Or maybe, once you’re here, you can help me wake him up."

After Celia finished speaking, she took Carolline to the nurse station to ask if they could feed Jordy the chicken soup she cooked today. She wanted to provide him with some nourishment.
