"Do you want to tell me what’s going on between you two?" Carolline was genuinely worried and really wanted to know what had happened to Celia.

"Aren’t you supposed to be at work today?" Celia looked up and asked.

"Okay," Carolline didn’t refuse, as Celia could only drink milk and not eat anything else, so the couple ate in front of her.

Soon, the nurse brought two phones to them. The phone cases were broken, but Celia managed to turn them on. Both phones rang incessantly, like they were competing in a singing contest.

These were all call reminders and unread text messages.

Celia first checked her own phone, naturally seeing text messages from her colleagues and direct supervisor. She replied with a text message: Had a car accident, taking a week off, will return to work and hand over my tasks in a week.

This meant she was planning to resign.

After Bryan Hawkins left, Celia finally told Carolline what happened.

At first, Celia went on a business trip. There would usually be a celebration banquet or something like that to attend after a contract was negotiated. Although she was reluctant, she ended up going.

She also took her two assistants along with her. Through hard work, she had become the department head and was allotted two assistants.

However, when they arrived, she saw a figure on the dining table that shocked her beyond belief - it was Jordy Wade. Clearly, he hadn’t expected to run into Celia at an event like this either.

Jordy Wade seemed much calmer than Celia; after a glance at her, he looked away. But Celia was different. Throughout the evening, she couldn’t take her eyes off Jordy Wade.

She knew she was acting disgracefully tonight, but this man had only appeared in her dreams for so many years. She missed him so much that she was afraid that this night was just another dream, so she refused to look away.
