Chapter 483: Chapter 483: Enemies Encounter on the Narrow Road (2)

"Let them go." Mother Willow said to Daisy Willow.

With their parents saying so, Daisy Willow stopped protesting and was happy for Elena, but she felt a little upset inside. Her father had been quite strict with her and Big Brother in the past. In their family, it was truly the combination of a stern father and a doting mother. Their mother was a standard housewife, and when their father hit her and Big Brother too hard, their mother would only cry, not daring to stop him.

Now, seeing how her father loved Elena so much, Daisy Willow felt a fatherly love that she had never experienced before, seeing it in its fullest form in Elena.

Thinking that she would have to take Elena away tomorrow, Daisy Willow felt a little cruel.

She didn’t mention it until Elena yawned and got tired, Father Willow couldn’t bear to see her, "Take Elena to take bath, she’s tired, let her rest early, and I’ll play with you again tomorrow. I’ll take you to catch butterflies at the edge of the field."

The last sentence was a promise from Father Willow to Elena.

"Ok." Elena nodded heavily.

"Dad, I have to take Elena back tomorrow. I have some things to deal with. Once I’m done, I’ll..." Daisy Willow didn’t finish her words, and Father Willow exploded.

"What do you need to deal with? If you need to deal with anything, do it yourself. Why do you need to bring Elena along?" Father Willow was not satisfied. It was only during this summer vacation that he had time to play with Elena. She just arrived a few days ago, and now she was leaving again.

"Grandpa—" Hearing her grandpa shout at her mom, Elena was scared and called out tremblingly.

"Old man, look at you, shouting like that, you even scared Elena." Mother Willow immediately protected Elena and hugged her, "Can’t you let Daisy finish her words first?"

"...Fine, go on." Father Willow looked at his precious granddaughter, calmed down his face, and originally wanted to comfort Elena, but was afraid his rough voice would scare her again, so he turned to Daisy Willow.

"The thing is, in a few days, my lawsuit with Cole Duncan is going to court, and I still have some documents to prepare. I need to go back and start preparing tomorrow, or else I won’t make it in time for the trial." Daisy Willow explained patiently.

"...Do you need us to go back with you?" The elderly couple had heard how the Duncans had bullied their daughter before; they wanted to rush to G City and seek justice from the mother and son. If it hadn’t been for their daughter holding them back, they would have gone already.

Since they were going back to get a divorce, they needed backup, and their granddaughter would have no one to take care of her while their daughter was busy. Thus, it was a good idea for them to go and help take care of Elena.

That was what Father Willow was thinking, and Mother Willow was overjoyed at the thought of not having to be separated from their precious granddaughter. Otherwise, they didn’t know when Daisy Willow would bring her back home.

The most important thing was that they could help their daughter and granddaughter, and they didn’t want Daisy to be bullied by the Duncans again.

"I’m staying with a friend now, so it might not be very convenient." Daisy Willow hesitated. If she were living alone, bringing her parents over would be no problem. However, she was living with Celia Wade now, and Celia might not be used to such a noisy home environment.

"What does that matter? Your mom and I can stay in the cheapest hotel; we don’t mind. We have the money for it. Old wife, you can start packing now. Let’s settle this: tomorrow, we will go with you. We’ll help take care of the kid while Daisy has work to do, and if the Duncans dare to make a move, we’ll settle old and new scores together."
