Chapter 415: Chapter 415: She Wants a Divorce (1)
Both parties decided to meet at the KFC in the City District, as Elena couldn’t leave Daisy Willow and Carolline Ruiz brought Axel along, so the young girl would have some company.
At 3 o’clock, Daisy Willow had mostly finished her household chores. Cole Duncan had Jane Auclair’s company, so he didn’t need her. She went back to her room to change clothes for herself and Elena, grabbed her purse, and prepared to go out.
Madam Duncan sat in the living room watching television, enjoying a leisurely life. Her son was accompanied by Jane Auclair, and the housework was managed by Daisy Willow. She lived the life of a noble lady.
"Oh, dressed up so beautifully, where are you going?" Madam Duncan saw Daisy Willow’s appearance for going out, a light eyebrow lift, with light makeup applied. She hadn’t dressed herself like this for a month.
Madam Duncan felt uneasy. Her son was lying in bed unable to move, and no matter how she and the Auclair mother and daughter tried to persuade him, he showed no intention to divorce Daisy Willow. Now, still Mrs. Duncan, Daisy Willow dares to dress up like this to go out. Was she trying to attract other men’s attention?
"Taking Elena out for a stroll." Daisy Willow didn’t want to tell the truth to Madam Duncan, who had been sarcastic to her for days, urging her to be more self-aware and leave the Duncan Family.
Her request was simple - as long as Elena didn’t compete with her, she could leave. But Madam Duncan seemed unwilling. Of course, she never liked Elena, so it was not due to her. It could only be Cole Duncan who was reluctant.
If Cole Duncan was unwilling to give up Elena, that would be a problem.
"Stroll? Dressed up so beautifully, Daisy Willow, why don’t you just say you’re going out to cuckold Cole Duncan?" Madam Duncan’s tone was very rude, she assumed Daisy Willow would not dare to argue with her, so she didn’t even consider whether these words were appropriate, especially in front of Elena.
"..." Daisy Willow took a deep breath, lowered her head to tidy Elena’s clothes, and looked into her daughter’s clear eyes, her heart ached, "Let’s go, Elena."
Daisy Willow headed straight for the door without going back to inform Cole Duncan.
"Daisy Willow, if you leave this house today, don’t ever come back." Madam Duncan was furious and never expected Daisy Willow to so blatantly ignore her.
"Mom, do you think I really want to come back to this house? I’ve told you before, as long as you persuade Cole Duncan to give up Elena, you can prepare the agreement and I’ll be willing to sign it anytime." Daisy Willow turned around and sighed towards Madam Duncan.
At this moment, she still called her "mom," only because she hadn’t divorced Cole Duncan yet. Once they were divorced, she would regard it as liberation and freedom. She had long given up on their marriage.
"Mommy, do we really not have to go back to grandma’s house today?" As they walked out the door, Elena held Daisy Willow’s hand, her eyes full of expectation.
At grandma’s and daddy’s house, she could always feel grandma’s rejection of her mom and dislike of her. She acted very quietly, not disturbing Daisy Willow at all. When Daisy asked her to play in the room, she would play until Daisy came to find her willingly.
She didn’t want to live like this anymore. Plus, in dad’s room, that annoying auntie would come every day, and mom would be treated like a servant, with grandma’s loud voice calling and changing her. She felt scared and oppressed.
If it wasn’t for her mom promising to take her out to play with Axel today, she felt like she hadn’t smiled since she returned from her maternal grandmother’s house.
