Seeing the thin piece of paper inside the red envelope, both Bonnie Jenkins and Natalie Parton’s eyes lit up as they realized it was a check. The abundance of zeroes made the two money-loving women nod their heads in satisfaction.

"Thank you, Carolline. Your husband is really something! No wonder he’s G City’s richest man." Natalie couldn’t help but gush with excitement.

By comparison, Bonnie’s reaction was much more composed. Despite her inner delight, she didn’t say anything. Sometimes silence is golden, after all. From now on, she wouldn’t pick on Carolline’s family anymore. Plus, she didn’t have the ability to do so either way.

Not only was the man in front of her generous, but he was also her precious son’s benefactor.

As for gifts for his peers, Bryan Hawkins prepared cards for all of them.

Raymond Ruiz received a five-year VIP card for his favorite gym. Upon receiving the card, he thanked Bryan repeatedly.

Felix Ruiz got a card from his favorite coffee shop, which would cover his coffee for almost ten years. As his brother-in-law, Bryan had paid for his second brother’s caffeine fix ahead of time, as long as the coffee shop didn’t go out of business.

Of course, the coffee shop Felix liked must’ve been very well-established.

Felix just smiled shyly and nodded, expressing his silent gratitude.

Having recently graduated, Jeffrey Ruiz loved racing. Bryan gave him a delivery card to order a newly released race car from abroad. With a global production of only fifty cars, it was currently available for pre-order, and Bryan had successfully managed to secure one for him. He could pick up the car by the end of next month.

Perhaps because of his age or his mother’s influence, Jeffrey couldn’t contain his excitement upon receiving the card. He jumped three feet into the air and was about to hug Bryan. "Thank you, brother-in-law! You’re the best!"

He then turned to hug Carolline, who was nearly scared by Jeffrey’s exuberance. Fortunately, Bryan stopped him, "Well, as happy as you are, remember that I’m very possessive. Your sister Carolline is mine now, so even though you’re her brother, skin-to-skin contact is prohibited in the future."

Bryan’s half-joking words reddened Carolline’s face with embarrassment. He really didn’t care about the occasion, as everyone seated were her family members. Moreover, her grandfather was a very serious old man who wouldn’t hesitate to scold anyone’s inappropriate behavior.

But miraculously, the old master didn’t scold him. Instead, he laughed and spat at Jeffrey, "Be sure to remember what your brother-in-law said."

It meant that the old master was only unable to stand it for a short while before being bought over by the writing supplies and antique tea set.

"Yes, brother-in-law, I won’t dare to do it again," Jeffrey then hugged Axel, and the little embarrassment ended in a comical scene, leaving no one feeling uncomfortable.

Jasmine Ruiz received a card for a famous maternity and baby chain store, where she could pick out items worth up to 200,000. She could even get a cash refund if she didn’t spend it all.

Avie Ruiz received cards for ten different clothing store brands, each with a 50,000 limit. Bryan was so generous to Avie mainly because Carolline especially liked her little sister.

And in the past, when the Ruiz family looked down on Carolline and thought she was a disgrace, Avie was the only one who would come to see her and the child whenever she had time. Bryan remembered her kindness.
