Chapter 392: Chapter 392: Everyone Has a Share (4)
If they don’t give any gifts, that’s their choice, but what about the grandfather’s gift? Shouldn’t he also prepare something?
After calling the other elders, Bryan Hawkins began addressing Raymond Ruiz, Felix Ruiz, and Jasmine Ruiz as his cousin brothers and cousin sister respectively, because Carolline Ruiz is the fourth child in the family, with two older cousin brothers and one older cousin sister.
All three of them responded, and then he greeted the rest of his younger cousins.
Just as Bonnie Jenkins and Natalie Parton were still feeling disappointed that they hadn’t received anything, Xavier Estrada entered the room.
Xavier Estrada drove a separate car, following closely behind them. He had to make a trip to the villa to help the master, Mr. Ruiz, to bring the antique tea set up, so he was a bit late.
Following Bryan Hawkins’ instructions, Xavier Estrada brought the gifts prepared for the Ruiz family members into the room one by one. Under Bryan’s guidance, he brought a set of four treasures of Chinese calligraphy, which Bryan’s family had obtained by chance at an auction, and a set of antique tea sets to Mr. Ruiz.
"Grandpa, I didn’t know what you would like, so I prepared these two things." Bryan Hawkins didn’t actually understand the value of the calligraphy set, nor did he know whether it was good or not. He had only bought it on a whim, never expecting that he would actually win the auction.
His own grandfather was also a fan of calligraphy, owning many treasured works of Finn Browman. Originally, Bryan had wanted to gift one of these to Mr. Ruiz, but his grandmother told him that his grandfather had already given everything he had to the fire.
He had no choice but to give up on that idea, and eventually he remembered that he had a calligraphy set in his room, so he decided to give it.
Seeing the two items in front of him, Mr. Ruiz was overjoyed. These were more appealing to him than any other gifts. Bryan Hawkins seemed to have a knack for reading people’s hearts.
Mr. Ruiz was secretly impressed and guiltily glanced at his granddaughter Carolline, knowing that his resolve as a grandfather would not last much longer.
"Hmm, thank you." Mr. Ruiz nodded and waved his hand, motioning for the butler to take these precious items to his room. There were so many people here, and if someone were to accidentally break the treasures, he would be heartbroken.
Then, Xavier Estrada delivered the remaining gifts accurately to everyone’s hands. Even Carolline was puzzled about how Bryan Hawkins had managed to do this.
Carolline’s second uncle liked white liquor, so Bryan had Xavier deliver a bottle from his office wine cabinet. She didn’t know anything about it, but when her second uncle received the bottle, his delight was clear to everyone, and he immediately became friendly towards Bryan Hawkins. He then carefully took the wine bottle upstairs.
Her third uncle liked antiques, and Xavier handed him a set of unknown antiques. He held them in his hand, unable to take his eyes off them, shaking his head in disbelief. He smiled at Bryan Hawkins and said, "Bryan Cooper, this is too generous."
"It’s nothing, third uncle. If you like, I can accompany you to the Antique Shop another day," Bryan Hawkins replied casually.
"Good, good, I’ll wait for you to make time." Blake Ruiz agreed readily and went upstairs with his treasure.
Upstairs, there were separate rooms for everyone.
Then it was time for the second and third aunts. Xavier Estrada handed them thin, red envelopes containing money. After exchanging a glance with each other, Bryan Hawkins explained with a smile, "I originally wanted to buy gifts for both of you, but since I didn’t know which brands you preferred, I thought it would be better to give you money so you can buy whatever you like."
