Only then did Carolline Ruiz take the elevator back home, where Emily Hill had already put the two children to bed. They couldn’t play any longer; if they got too excited, they couldn’t sleep.

Henry Ruiz also went to his room, leaving Bryan Hawkins alone in the living room. There were only three rooms in the house. Elena Duncan slept in Carolline’s room, and Axel went back to his own room when he arrived. They were the ones left over.

"Where are we sleeping tonight, honey?" Bryan Hawkins asked, sipping his coffee leisurely. He wasn’t at all worried about where they would sleep, driving back was a quick trip, they could go anywhere.

"Let’s go back to the apartment." going back to the villa at this time was impossible. She still had to go to work tomorrow. How early would she have to get up to commute to work from the villa? Besides, if she drove back to the villa now, she might as well not sleep tonight.

"..." Carolline Ruiz didn’t know what Bryan Hawkins was thinking. Seeing him frowning and thinking one moment, and then giggling foolishly the next, she was at a loss for words.

"Mom, we’re leaving first." Emily Hill came out of Elena’s room and Carolline spoke to her.

"You’re going back at this time? I think, you should sleep with Elena later, and Bryan can make do with Axel for one night. Don’t you have the morning shift tomorrow? Going back and forth like this, do you even want to sleep?" Emily Hill suggested.

When Carolline came in, even though her skin was covered by a thick layer of foundation, Emily Hill could still see some of the lingering bruises. She understood the situation well enough, and wouldn’t saying anything more about such things.

Seeing how exhausted Carolline was, Emily Hill knew how Bryan Hawkins must have worn her out. While she sympathized with her, it was a sign that her daughter and son-in-law had a good relationship. Sometimes going a little overboard was not a bad thing.

But with Carolline so tired and insisting on going back, she would probably not be able to get up tomorrow morning. Emily Hill knew her daughter well, and if she was late because of \that, Carolline Ruiz might find it hard to stay in the hospital.

"That sounds good." Carolline Ruiz looked at Bryan Hawkins, seeking his opinion.

"Then it’s settled." Carolline said to Emily Hill. Emily placed the clothes the children had changed out of into the washing machine and began hand washing the underwear. Carolline Ruiz followed her,"Mom, let me do it."

Emily Hill waved her off, insisting that she rest and would do the cleaning herself as it was not much.

Carolline had no choice but to listen. The two sat in the living room, and Carolline decided to resolve Daisy Willow’s issue first, "Is William still not going to get a divorce? Can you ask him to make an exception just once?"

"Even his wife can’t get him to make an exception, do you think a man like him who puts love before brotherhood would listen to me?" Bryan Hawkins didn’t mean to belittle his brother, but their family’s men were all the same. Once they had a wife, she came first.
