Chapter 287: Chapter 287: You Are a Miracle (1)

Ultimately, Carolline fell asleep to Bryan Hawkins’ magnetic voice. It was only when he heard her steady breathing that he realized Carolline had fallen asleep; were his words like a lullaby?

Bryan chuckled and shook his head, carrying her back to the master bedroom to sleep. Looking at her slumbering face, he couldn’t help but lean down and kiss her forehead, "My wife, can we make up like this, please?"

Carolline, asleep in bed, didn’t know if she had heard him. After being kissed, she reached out and wiped the spot where he touched her. Like a child, she awkwardly turned and continued to sleep, the corners of her mouth curving up slightly.

It was already three in the morning. Bryan poured out the cold coffee, put away the leftover snacks, then climbed into bed, embracing Carolline as they both slept peacefully.

By the time they woke up, it was almost noon. Carolline hadn’t slept so late since having Axel. Stretching her limbs, she discovered that she was held down in somebody’s arms. Turning her head, she saw Bryan looking at her with a smile in his thick eyebrows and big eyes.

"Awake?" Bryan asked with a doting tone.

"Why are you here?" Carolline suffered from memory loss from sleeping too long and completely forgot where she was. She eventually noticed that this room was different from her own and asked, "Where is this?"

"Our previous home," Bryan replied, pinching her flushed cheeks. She looked particularly enticing after a good sleep, and he was reluctant to let go of her.

"..." Carolline looked around, finally realizing that Bryan was talking about Bluen Lake Wonderland. Memories of the night before flooded back: Mengjie’s pregnancy, the two families having dinner together, her parents leaving her behind, and then coming to this place with Bryan and having a long talk.

She discovered how ridiculous the misunderstandings from five years ago were. No one was at fault—it was fate playing with them.

It seemed they had reconciled and naturally ended up sleeping in the same bed. Carolline blushed at the thought and dropped her pretenses.

"I’m hungry," she said suddenly, as Bryan’s gaze made her heart race.

"Mmm, let’s get up and go downstairs for breakfast," Bryan suggested, also feeling hungry since it was almost noon. It was almost time for lunch for those who ate early.

"OK." Carolline rolled out of bed and went looking for clothes, wondering who helped her change.

"I did," Bryan’s voice sounded behind her, almost taking Carolline’s breath away. However, considering they had a child together, changing clothes shouldn’t matter.

Suddenly, Bryan came forward and pulled Carolline into his arms again, "Carolline, let’s get remarried this afternoon, alright?"

"... Isn’t this too soon?" Carolline’s response was hesitant, not rejecting him, but feeling flustered.

"Too soon? Axel is about to turn six," Bryan disagreed. Carolline’s attitude toward him these past few days had been torture, not just the feeling of days dragging on, but seconds feeling like years.

So for him, getting remarried today wasn’t too soon—it was too slow.

"..." Carolline didn’t know what to say, especially since Bryan’s point was the truth: Axel was almost six, and yet she felt their remarriage was too fast. But in terms of time, it really was too fast.

Back when they got married, it was sudden, but she agreed without any hesitation. This time, she didn’t know why, but she hesitated slightly—yet she didn’t want to outright refuse.
