Carolline shook her head secretly, thinking that her foolish son and Bryan Hawkins had totally different ideas on Western food; Bryan was treating them to G City’s finest Western restaurant, where the bill would likely reach at least ten thousand.

As a nurse with a monthly income of three or four thousand, she would never dare to indulge in such lavish spending. It was different for Bryan, currently the wealthiest man in G City. Be it tens of thousands or even millions, Bryan would be more than happy to pay as long as Axel was happy.

Thus, Carolline no longer worried about the cost.

As they walked side by side, Bryan Hawkins thought Carolline spoke too little. While he and his son communicated quite happily, it seemed that Carolline was too lazy to even say a word with him.

A greeter lady led their family into the restaurant, as Bryan asked for a private room.

Once they were all seated, a waitress came over and handed the menu to Bryan Hawkins, "Mr. Hawkins--"

It was an honor for their Western restaurant to have such a well-known celebrity from G City visit after many years. Staff at prestigious service establishments were well acquainted with Bryan.

"Carolline, why don’t you order?" Bryan tried to hand the menu over to her.

"Daddy, I want ice cream." Axel made an inopportune request.

"I’m sorry, little friend. We don’t have ice cream. But if you want some, Auntie can ask the chef to make a special dessert for you, okay?" The waitress was surprised when she heard Axel call Bryan ’Daddy’, but being an experienced server, she remained calm. Hadn’t Bryan said that he wouldn’t marry? He already had a child now.

So was the woman sitting across from him in ordinary clothes Bryan Hawkins’ wife? Had he gotten married in secret?

"No ice cream? But don’t steak houses have a lot of self-service options?" Axel was still puzzled. He didn’t know why the steakhouse they visited today was so different from the ones they usually went to.

"On Children’s Day, mommy will take you to a steakhouse with those self-service options. Today Daddy is treating us, so we’ll listen to him. Don’t worry, Daddy will order something delicious for you," Carolline finally spoke, not because she was afraid of Axel making a fool of himself but because she wanted to finish dinner quickly and go home.

Moreover, as long as the food was palatable, the Western cuisine at this restaurant must be quite delicious.

"Okay." Axel fell silent, watching his father make choices on the menu.

This high-end western restaurant was not just about simple steaks, snacks, ice cream, and drinks. It followed the complete western dining process.

"I’ll decide then," Bryan hadn’t expected that Axel would like that kind of restaurant, but it didn’t matter – Carolline had just said she would take him there on Children’s Day, and he would go with them.

"Mmhm." Carolline nodded, since she couldn’t make decisions on her own tonight and wasn’t knowledgeable in this area either.

Bryan Hawkins ticked a few items on the menu before handing it back to the waiter, who went through the selections and nodded before leaving.

The first course was called the appetizer. For Carolline, Bryan ordered the Cannes Supreme Caviar Seafood Platter, for Axel the Bogue Seafood Tower with Foie Gras Truffle Sauce, and for himself, Norwegian Smoked Salmon with Creamy Mushrooms and Herb-braised Egg.
