They are all shameless fellows. Carolline Ruiz really chose her friends poorly, very poorly.

Carolline didn’t bother replying to her anymore. She assumed that there shouldn’t be any serious problem based on her cheerful tone, so she was relieved.

"Let’s find a place to eat. Axel, what do you want to eat?" Knowing that Carolline wouldn’t refuse, Bryan Cooper asked Axel for his opinion directly.

"Can we eat at KFC or McDonald’s?" Axel asked quietly. As soon as the words left his mouth, Carolline shot a look at him. Axel immediately pouted, "How about a steak house, is that okay?"

This statement was obviously a challenge to Carolline. Although she wasn’t very strict with him in other aspects, she was quite principled when it came to eating junk food. Some families allowed it once a week, but not theirs. Sometimes they wouldn’t eat it even once a month.

Although Axel knew that eating fast food was not good, he was just a child after all. Once he had tasted it, he couldn’t resist it, and his self-control was limited. Whenever he could make a request during holidays, he would ask for junk food.

Although Carolline was not satisfied, she wouldn’t oppose it. After all, they didn’t eat it often, and she knew that children loved it.

However, it was absolutely impossible today. Axel knew it himself. He just went to the zoo with his grandparents the other day and had some then. It had only been a few days, and he was craving it again. How could Carolline not glare at him?

It was reasonable. It was just that today was special for him as it was his first time meeting his father. But to Carolline, it wasn’t so special.

Axel could accept going to a steak house, mainly because there was his favorite ice cream, grilled wings, and snacks there. Although there were no burgers, the grilled wings could make up for it and soothe his wounded little heart.

The steak house Axel had in mind was a bit more ordinary and popular, with the main focus on steak, and the consumption was not expensive, averaging a little over a hundred per person.

Carolline’s aversion to steak houses was slightly better than her aversion to fast-food restaurants like KFC. She would usually agree to go to a steak house.

Carolline withdrew her gaze. She wouldn’t object to this idea. However, she knew that the steak house Bryan Cooper had in mind would definitely be completely different from what Axel had in mind.

"Dad, Mom doesn’t object anymore, let’s go," Axel said happily to Bryan Cooper.

"Okay, let’s go!" Bryan Cooper yelled like a big kid, and Axel mimicked him.

The two of them were just missing a red flag in their hands, waving from side to side.

Finally, Bryan Cooper parked the car in front of a high-end western restaurant. After parking, he walked to the front and picked up Axel, who was almost six years old. Axel was naturally embarrassed to be held by his father at such a big age, even though it felt fantastic. It was humiliating, only little kids were held by their parents.

Moreover, he felt bad for his father because he was so heavy, "Dad, put me down. When I was two and a half, Mom didn’t hold me in public anymore."

"Really? That’s because Mom is not strong enough. Dad can carry Mom, let alone you. Let’s go, let Dad hold you, Dad wants to hold you." Bryan Cooper shamelessly said.

Carolline listened, her ears burning. This man was really shameless. There were people passing by, and he spoke so inappropriately. Besides, even if he could carry her, did she ever say she wanted him to hold her?

"Wow, Dad, you’re amazing. Mom just lacks exercise. She can’t climb mountains with me every time. Next time, when Mom can’t climb anymore, you can carry her," Axel, being just a child, thought differently about the meaning of holding between Bryan Cooper and himself. His concept of holding was purely innocent, and he even thought his father understood his mother so well.
