Chapter 1146: 013 Did you give away your first kiss?
This scene left Elena Duncan somewhat stunned, and Charles Morrison was stunned as well.
He had thought that the people of Z Country were relatively conservative in expressing love, and that something like kissing in public wouldn’t be something they would do.
Elena was stunned, but eventually, she couldn’t help but respond. She did not know how long Axel Hawkins had been kissing her, but other than accepting it, she would not refuse.
The people of M Country were also bold and romantic. Seeing such passionate behavior, the bystanders weren’t shy; they took out their phones to take pictures, and given that the real-life show in front of them involved two people with such high attractiveness, it really was a case of matched beauty and talent.
Charles’s face darkened as he watched the two people entwined in forgetfulness, his complexion growing darker. If it was already like this, and he still did not believe they were a couple, then would he have to wait until they were in bed together to be convinced?
With that, Charles turned and walked away.
However, the atmosphere among the onlookers remained excited, some whistled, and some even clapped and cheered, these noises finally snapping Axel Hawkins back to his senses.
He slightly pushed Elena Duncan away. Initially, he had just wanted to prove something to Charles Morrison, but once he touched those soft lips, he found himself unable to extricate himself, sinking deeper into the moment.
Axel watched the equally moved Elena Duncan, feeling a softness in his heart. The two paid no attention to anyone else and gazed deeply into each other’s eyes.
Such a loving scene had some bystanders still reluctant to leave, continuing to take pictures.
It wasn’t until a flash went off that the two fully came to their senses.
A young man dressed stylishly, carrying lots of photography equipment, approached them. "Hi, good day to both of you, I am a freelance photographer for ’Charm’ magazine, my name is Jasper Powell. I couldn’t help but capture that scene just now and would love to feature it in our magazine. If you’re willing, once my photos are selected, I will provide you with due compensation. Here is my business card, and we can discuss this further. What do you think?"
Elena didn’t speak. She had encountered many photographers in M Country, both local and foreign, so her pictures sometimes appeared on websites or in magazines, but she always kept a low profile so she wasn’t very famous.
This was her first time meeting a photographer from Z Country, so young, yet already working as a freelancer for such a magazine as ’Charm,’ which suggested he must be quite capable.
She didn’t mind, but she was unsure if Axel Hawkins would be willing to agree.
Seeing that neither of them spoke, and Elena was noticeably looking at Axel Hawkins, Jasper Powell continued, "I’m from Z Country. Consider it a favor, and also, our ’Charm’ magazine is very..."
"Alright, go ahead and publish them. But before that, we need to see the photos and the accompanying text," Axel stated his condition, not being overly unsociable.
"Okay, that’s absolutely fine. Thank you so much, thank you," Jasper Powell expressed his gratitude, visibly pleased.
Axel was indifferent, seeing how many spectators there were, he didn’t want them treated like monkeys. He took Jasper Powell’s business card, and quickly led Elena away.
It was only then that Elena noticed how many people were around them. Her face suddenly flushed with embarrassment. She had never imagined that one day she would be doing such things with Axel Hawkins in front of so many people.
The two went straight home afterward. Elena then learned that the butler had already shown Axel Hawkins to his room, which was right across from hers, a room she had decorated herself, unsure if he would like it.
"What would you like for dinner tonight? I’ll cook," Elena asked Axel, her culinary skills being decent, as she had learned a bit of everything from Simon Carrington and Daisy Willow, though not mastering any.
Simon’s idea was that a woman should learn various skills not to get ahead, but to make her life more refined in the future.
Just like her mother, Daisy Willow, who now knew a bit about tea ceremony and flower arranging; she noticed how her mother’s life became increasingly tasteful, and she seemed younger and more vibrant.
When she was sixteen, Daisy had stayed overnight with her, and during that night, lying in bed, they had talked a lot. Daisy had said that if she hadn’t met Simon, she wouldn’t have known how crucial a man next to a woman was for a good life.
