Chapter 1111: 006 Approval from Both Parents_4
"Yes, Mom, I’m sorry, there are some things I just can’t control," she said. For example, her feelings for Simon Carrington, which she had always tried to control, only to realize that Simon felt the same way. She was truly moved, although she knew they were not suitable for each other, but she hadn’t expected Simon’s parents to be so generous.
They had accepted her, and she felt there was no reason to back down anymore.
""Daisy’s mother understood what her daughter meant; when Daisy was with Cole Duncan, she had said the same thing—she loved Cole very much, and they loved each other, but Cole’s mother had always disapproved, so she felt her marriage was doomed," Mom knows, but what about his parents? Do his family approve of you two?"
Because of the previous lessons learned from Cole Duncan, Daisy’s mother had already decided that no matter how much the two loved each other, if Simon’s parents did not agree or approve of her daughter, then the marriage could absolutely not go forward.
She would definitely oppose it to the end.
"Yes, his parents have already been to M Country," Daisy continued. "His parents are archaeologists, so they are very busy. They hardly spend much time at home throughout the year, always traveling the world. They made time to come to M Country once to understand our situation before getting busy again."
"Really? Are they genuinely busy, or is it just an excuse for not approving of you?" Daisy’s mother was really worried. From her standpoint as a mother, regardless of how busy parents are, their children’s marital matters should be the most important, right?
"They are truly busy, Mom. You’ve seen those archaeology experts on TV, right? Sometimes, discovering an archaeological site can take months or even years to explore; everyone has different pursuits," Samuel Willow chimed in, having just overheard his wife’s words.
He thought, parents who could raise a child like Simon Carrington shouldn’t be unreasonable. Simon and Cole are completely different, right?
Couldn’t his mom stop comparing the two?
"Is that so?" Daisy’s mother was still not quite sure.
"Yes, Simon was raised by Grandfather Carrington. He’s grown up seeing his parents only a handful of times, so, Mom, they really are very busy," Daisy added in support.
This was indeed the case.
"Alright, even if that’s the case, let’s wait until we meet Simon tomorrow. He’s coming to our house tomorrow, right? What does he like to eat, and what do his children like to eat? Mom will prepare," Daisy’s mother compromised, driven by her love for her daughter.
However, thinking of Simon’s children, Daisy’s mother felt it was a tricky issue.
Little Liam was okay, but that girl—she really felt it might be problematic, not knowing if her family’s Daisy and Elena would end up dealing with the young girl’s temperaments.
However, since her daughter had spoken, everything would depend on Simon’s attitude tomorrow. If his attitude was good, then naturally, they would not object, as all they wanted as parents was their daughter and granddaughter’s happiness.
"No need, Simon said we’re going out to eat tomorrow," Daisy shook her head. "Mom, there are so many people, don’t wear yourself out; let’s just go out to eat."
"Alright then," Daisy’s mother agreed, knowing that Simon was very wealthy, so she didn’t need to try to save.
"It’s getting late; everyone should go to sleep to be ready for talking tomorrow," Samuel Willow urged Daisy’s mother and Daisy.
The next day, at ten in the morning, Simon Carrington arrived at the Willow family’s home with Stella Carrington and Liam Carrington.
"Uncle, Aunt, Big Brother, Sister-in-law, hello," Simon placed the gifts he had brought on the floor and bowed to Samuel Willow and Millie Campbell, then to Samuel Willow and Millie Campbell again. His manners were very thorough.
Daisy felt somewhat embarrassed. The CEO of Carrington, bending and bowing in their house—if the Carrington staff saw this, who knows what they would think.
"Please don’t do this, look, you’re making my sister feel bad. Come sit down, Simon," Samuel Willow, who also hadn’t gone to the store today—they had hired staff, after all, so even if the couple didn’t go, someone would take care of it—teased.
With Samuel’s teasing, Daisy felt even more embarrassed.
