Chapter 1110: 006 Approval from Both Parents_3
"Being nice to Elena can win Axel over, right?"
It doesn’t matter, she’d just disgust herself for a while.
When Daisy Willow had packed up her and Simon Carrington’s belongings and came out to check on the three children, she was relieved to see that they had also packed their stuff. Since they were flying directly back to G City, she asked Stella Carrington for her opinion, "Stella, we are heading back to G City first. Your father has a house there. Liam and Elena will go to their grandparents’ place. What about you?"
"What about dad? Is he going back with you guys? Can your small house even fit so many people?" Since both grandparents had agreed to their marriage, Stella Carrington was no longer as defensive with Daisy Willow.
"Liam can stay with Kent. Dad won’t be staying there, you can stay with dad," Daisy Willow answered truthfully.
"Okay, then I’ll stay with dad. I’ll go with him when the time comes," Stella Carrington nodded.
"Alright, we’ll arrange it this way," Daisy Willow nodded. After leaving, she made a phone call home, but she was too shy to talk to her parents about her and Simon Carrington, only hinting a bit to her sister-in-law Millie Campbell.
They didn’t arrive in G City until ten o’clock the next night.
Millie Campbell and Samuel Willow had closed the supermarket early and drove over to pick them up. Liam Carrington was extremely tired and yawned continuously after disembarking the plane.
Earlier, Simon Carrington had arranged a car. He carried Liam Carrington, with Stella Carrington by their side, and the driver helped with the luggage. The family of three got into one car first.
Simon Carrington placed Liam Carrington in the back seat, where Liam was still muttering about going back to his grandparents’ place with Elena.
Simon Carrington ignored him and had Stella get in, then he walked over to Daisy Willow, "I will come by tomorrow noon, and we can have lunch outside. What do you think?"
"Yes, that’s fine," Daisy Willow nodded.
Samuel Willow, having heard a bit from his wife, watched their reluctant demeanor and pursed his lips in a smile. Concerned that Daisy Willow might feel awkward, he turned his head away, pretending not to notice.
"I should get going then," Simon Carrington said tenderly to Daisy Willow, then glanced at Samuel Willow and Millie Campbell, respectfully adding, "Big Brother, Sister-in-law, I’ll be leaving now. See you tomorrow."
"All right, see you tomorrow," Samuel Willow said cheerfully, considering himself lucky to have such a son-in-law.
When they arrived home, Daisy’s parents were still up, waiting for them and had already prepared noodles on time, without much time for affection, Daisy’s mother urged them to hurry up and eat.
After eating, Elena, wiping her mouth, sweetly said, "Grandma’s noodles taste so good, even better than the First Class Cabin meal on the plane."
They were in the First Class Cabin, where she and Liam had steak, which Liam said was delicious, but she found it average.
Now, comparing it to her grandma’s noodles, the steak seemed even more unpalatable.
"Grandma’s cooking is delicious, right? If Elena likes it, grandma will make more delicious dishes for you this time," Daisy’s mother said cheerfully, and Elena vigorously nodded.
"Okay, you’re done eating now, go wash up and brush your teeth with your aunt, it’s getting late," Millie Campbell said as she took Elena away, leaving Daisy Willow’s mother, Samuel Willow, and Daisy Willow alone at the table.
Daisy’s father, having waited for their return, conscientiously went to his room to sleep.
These days, Daisy’s father had entrusted Daisy’s mother with handling the household matters, not wanting to interfere anymore, feeling somewhat out of his depth.
Daisy Willow knew her mother had something to say to her, so she didn’t leave. Samuel Willow very considerately took their dishes to the kitchen to wash.
"Thanks, Big Brother," Daisy Willow didn’t stand on ceremony.
"I’m your Big Brother. What’s the big deal about helping my sister with these small chores?" Samuel Willow said affectionately.
Daisy Willow nodded, thinking how warm it was to be at home. Simple words could feel so heartwarming and moving.
"So, what’s going on with you and Simon Carrington again? I heard you might be getting married?" As soon as Samuel Willow left, Daisy’s mother couldn’t hold back anymore and straight out asked.
During the New Year’s visit, it was said that Daisy and Simon Carrington were just employer and employee. Now, not even half a year later, there was news that they were getting married, which Daisy’s mother found hard to accept.
