Chapter 1109: 006 Approval from Both Parents_2

Actually, they had only decided to get married, but still had no plan, which made them feel like it was a bit of a waste of time to gather them together. However, this didn’t affect their blessings for Simon and Daisy.

"Alright, we understand. If you are in a hurry, you can go," Simon knew that when his parents were on an archaeological discovery, they would rush to the site without delay.

He was used to having parents like that; from birth until now, they rarely met. They communicated over the phone for most matters and later on, through the computer. This time, he really didn’t expect they would drop their work and come over.

He also couldn’t quite remember if he had been unclear over the phone. He remembered saying that they planned to get married, but no date had been set.

In any case, he was somewhat surprised when they showed up at home.

"Stay for a meal before you go, Uncle and Auntie," Daisy stood up and invited them.

"No need, Simon knows our line of work. Whenever we find something valuable, we rush over immediately. We don’t need to eat now; we can eat on the plane. But whenever you need us, we will come," Simon’s mother said and then looked at Stella and Liam, "Stella, Liam, you must listen to Auntie Daisy, alright? Daddy is very busy, and Auntie Daisy taking care of the three of you can be exhausting."

"Hmm, don’t worry, Grandma and Grandpa, I will listen to Mom," Liam said crisply, calling Daisy ’Mom’. If Grandma and Grandpa agreed, then there was no changing the matter.

"...Alright, alright." Simon’s father and mother were taken aback. They knew Liam wasn’t someone who easily accepted others, but his acceptance of Daisy only meant that she truly was wonderful.

With that, they were thoroughly relieved.

Stella realized her scheme was completely ruined. With Grandma and Grandpa so supportive, what did it matter if other relatives didn’t approve? They had no say in this matter. It seemed that, apart from waiting to grow up, there was nothing much she could stir up anymore.

Especially since Liam called Daisy ’Mom’ so decisively, it felt like a slap in her face. She swore, from now on, Liam was no longer her brother.

She didn’t want a brother who twisted his elbow outwards.

The marriage between Daisy and Simon seemed to be settled, at least on the Carrington Family side there would be no opposition. What remained was Daisy’s family’s response. Simon planned to go and speak with Daisy’s parents about their situation during the kids’ summer vacation, and perhaps even visit Carolline.

If everything went smoothly, they could also have a simple wedding sooner rather than later since all three kids were grown up. It wasn’t practical to have a big wedding, but it wouldn’t be right to have no wedding at all.

That was also Daisy’s preference.

Soon, summer vacation arrived.

Simon’s business was thriving, and things were running smoothly. His time at home had gone from irregular to clocking in and out punctually. His work capability was unquestionable.

During the kids’ summer vacation, Simon could even take a month off from his work and manage things through video conferences.

Elena was very happy there were no training classes to attend this summer vacation.

Stella was also quite happy, but the thought of their return being for their parents’ wedding made her less inclined to go back.

"Sister Elena, have you told Brother Axel over the phone? That we are going back tomorrow." Half a year had passed, Liam had grown quite a bit, and though Elena had also grown taller, their height difference remained the same.

Liam felt frustrated. Despite eating so much every day, he was still not as tall as Sister Elena.

"Yes, I told him. He said he would prepare lots of delicious food and toys for you," Elena was also looking forward to meeting Axel; it had been almost half a year since they last saw each other.

"See, being the brother of Sister Elena, the treatment is indeed different," Liam was witty beyond his years, always thinking that Brother Axel and Sister Elena would end up together when they grew up, and he was quite happy about that thought.

"Nonsense," Elena blushed with embarrassment.

It was hearing this conversation that Stella, who hadn’t been keen on packing, decided to go back. An idea took root in her mind: since she had decided to feign acceptance of Daisy and Elena, she needed to integrate herself into their entire social circle.
