Chapter 1103: 005 Stella Carrington Compromises

Carolline Ruiz’s pregnancy was a joy not only to Bryan Hawkins but to Axel as well.

After receiving Bryan Hawkins’ instructions, Sophia Lawson finished her tasks and then took Axel back to his room to sleep. Axel lay in bed, too excited to fall asleep for a long time. He thought about discussing the decoration of a beautiful nursery room for his sibling with his dad tomorrow. As the older brother, he felt he must do it himself.

After lying there for a while and still unable to sleep, Axel took out his phone, opened Whatsapp, and went to find Elena Duncan.

Due to the time difference, it was bedtime for Axel, but morning for Elena Duncan.

When Axel made a video call, Elena Duncan was having breakfast. Seeing that it was Axel calling, she asked Daisy Willow, "Mom, Axel is video calling. Can I take it?"

"..." Stella Carrington sat there, eating breakfast with gusto. Having been hungry before, she would never be too shy to skip meals again and was eating earnestly.

But when she heard Elena Duncan mention Axel, her entire face lit up with excitement; even her eyelashes quivered.

Perhaps she knew how to take revenge on Daisy Willow and her daughter, Elena Duncan. Just wait, Stella Carrington was now biding her time, and one day, she would make them regret everything.

"Yes, go ahead," Daisy Willow nodded. Axel was a well-behaved child. He probably had something important to discuss if he was asking for a video call at this time; otherwise, he would not have called.

"Thank you, Mom." Elena Duncan put down her chopsticks, leaned back in her chair, and answered the call.

Soon, she saw Axel and heard his voice, "Elena, what are you doing? Are you busy?"

"Not busy, Axel. I’m having breakfast. It must be very late over there, right? Why aren’t you sleeping?" Elena shook her head, disapprovingly.

The two of them had agreed before—kids need to go to bed early.

"You’re back in M Country?" It was only then Axel realized it was broad daylight where Elena was; he had thought she was still in G City.

"Yes, I’ve been back for two or three days. Sorry, Axel, I forgot to let you know when I left. I didn’t want us to be sad when we were parting. Can you understand?" Elena Duncan apologized proactively.

"Yes, I understand. It’s fine. I’m very happy now, and have some good news I want to share with you. Will it disturb your breakfast? Or maybe I should tell you next time?" Axel was eager to tell Elena the good news, but he knew Aunt Daisy loved Elena dearly, yet Aunt Daisy had her own rules.

"It’s okay, go ahead, my mom agreed." Elena Duncan hurriedly told him. The conversation had already reached this point; if she didn’t hear the rest, she would keep thinking about it. She liked sharing her happiness with Axel, and she would share her happiness with him too.

"Alright, I’ll tell you then. I’m going to have a younger brother or sister soon. My mom is pregnant with a baby," Axel said, his excitement vivid and his expressions animated.

"Really? Axel, I’m so happy for you and for Aunt Carolline. When Aunt Carolline has the baby, I want to come back and see the baby right away, okay?" Elena Duncan said jubilantly, sincerely happy for Axel. She knew that Axel had always wanted a younger brother or sister.

"Sure, when my mom has the baby, I’ll tell you right away. Now go ahead and eat your breakfast. I’m getting sleepy too; time to sleep." After sharing the news with Elena, Axel yawned hugely—he was becoming sleepy indeed.

"Okay, then have a good sleep, good night." Elena Duncan nodded and hung up the video call.

Axel turned off his phone and placed it on the nightstand. After sharing the news with Elena, he fell into a deep, restful sleep.

He did not realize that his happiness had brought joy to both Elena Duncan and Daisy Willow. However, at the same time, Daisy Willow’s mood turned somewhat somber.

If she could, she would also love to give Elena a younger brother or sister, but she was no longer able to bear children, and what right did she have to stand beside Simon Carrington?

Given Simon Carrington’s capabilities, having another child of his own would not be a problem at all.

She really felt that Simon Carrington was being stifled. Of his two children, one turned out not to be his own, and the other, though biologically his, was conceived through artificial insemination.
