Chapter 1104: 005 Stella Carrington Compromise_2

She felt that Simon should seek to have a child of his own through normal means, and she could no longer help him realize that.

Simon completely missed the sense of loss in Daisy Willow’s demeanor. Elena hadn’t hidden anything, so as she conversed with Axel, both of them had heard her say, "That Old Li is quite capable. He got Carolline pregnant with a second child right after they held the wedding. Elena, Uncle Simon promises you that when Aunt Carolline gives birth to the little baby, we’ll all go back to see them together, okay?"

"Sure, Uncle Simon is the best. I like Uncle Simon the most," Elena responded happily. Axel’s siblings were also her siblings, and she planned to prepare gifts for her future brother or sister.

Simon smiled with pursed lips.

Liam, seeing Elena so happy, also said cheerfully, "Daddy, does that mean I can be a big brother too?"

Feeling that he was the youngest among those around him, whether it was Axel or Kent he had met before, he always had to call them brother. No one called him brother. Now, could he finally be a big brother?

"Yes, indeed. When the little baby comes, our Liam will be a big brother too," Simon tenderly said to his son.

Stella looked at their harmonious interaction and felt even more out of place. She put down her chopsticks with half of the food still on her plate. She didn’t plan to continue eating. "I’m done eating. I’m going out now, Daddy."

After admitting her mistake, Stella had been promised by Simon personally that he would take her to the Classmate Meeting today.

"Why stop eating now? There’s still so much left. Haven’t we said that we mustn’t waste food?" Simon looked sternly at Stella. She had admitted her fault just yesterday, and he had thought she truly understood her mistake. Was this all just for show?

"But I’m full," Stella said, feeling a bit aggrieved. In such an atmosphere, she really couldn’t eat anymore.

"If you’re full, then you should stop eating," Daisy Willow couldn’t help but interject. Just yesterday, she had felt that they were being too hard on Stella, and when she heard her admission of guilt, she felt somewhat sorry for her.

Simon didn’t say anything more, merely giving Daisy Willow a glance. At times like these, she was supposed to stand united with him, but Daisy lacked tact. So now, he could only remain silent to support Daisy’s stance.

Seeing that Simon had stopped talking, Stella’s contrariness resurfaced. She didn’t want to listen to Daisy. "I still think Daddy is right about not wasting food, so I’ll finish it," she resolved.

Stella picked up her chopsticks and began to eat again, to the silent observation of everyone at the table who noticed her contradictory behavior. Daisy felt a little embarrassed, and Elena, a bit speechless. Even though her heart went out to her, after all, Stella’s own father was gone and her mother didn’t want her.

Comparing their situations, even though Elena had no father, she had a loving mother. So overall, she considered herself luckier than Stella.

After breakfast, Stella went off to the class meeting with Simon, while Elena and Liam stayed at home, with the school term starting in just a few days.

Having dropped Stella off, Simon returned and took Daisy and the two kids to the amusement park for the day. Since Elena had a piano lesson in the afternoon, they hurried back home before four o’clock.

Liam, having had a lot of fun, said, "Daddy, let’s go to the Zoo tomorrow, shall we?"

"Alright, but during your sister’s piano lesson, you’ll practice your calligraphy in the study room, okay?" Simon negotiated with his son.

"Sure, I’ll go practice calligraphy in the study room now. See you in a bit, Daddy. Auntie Daisy, see you later." Liam impulsively called Daisy ’Mom’, shocking her on the spot.

Even though he corrected himself afterward, his heart was indeed yearning for Daisy to be his mother.

Today, as the four of them played at the amusement park and everyone assumed they were a happy family of four, Liam felt a happiness he had never experienced before.

Now more than ever, he hoped that Daisy could be his mother. So although he had been somewhat impulsive just then, his heart truly longed for Daisy to be his mom.

Everyone else had a mother they could call on, a mother to be with them all day long. He was the only one without that, and he couldn’t help but envy others.
