Chapter 1085: 002 Facing the threat head-on

Evelyn Willow certainly wasn’t as naive as Stella Carrington thought; she was just deliberately opposing her. After all, if Stella kept bullying Elena, Evelyn wouldn’t hesitate to have the guts to tease her in return.

He had come just to disgust her on purpose. Wasn’t she the one claiming to be a lady of wealthy upbringing, who looked down on his aunt for being a servant in their household? Well, he’d show her that Evelyn Willow’s family wasn’t someone she could belittle at will.

"..." Stella Carrington was extremely frustrated. She turned to Daisy Willow and said, "Are you done eating? If you are, take me home."

Millie Campbell+Daisy’s mother: "..."

They never expected Stella Carrington to speak to Daisy Willow like this. Could it be even worse when they were not around?

"Sister, I’m not going back. Brother Axel is coming over later. If you want to go home, just call the servants and have them pick you up," Liam Carrington said to Stella. He also liked Brother Axel, mainly because Sister Elena liked him.

Brother Axel was quite nice to him too. In fact, he liked anyone who was nice to him.

Brother Kent was the same. In contrast, his own sister wasn’t even as nice to him as these people were.

"Liam Carrington, are you really my brother or not?" Stella Carrington shrieked, her brother had always been contrary to her.

She disliked him from the moment he was born. She was still young at that time, but she could think for herself and couldn’t understand why, when Mom and Dad already had her, they needed to give birth to an annoying little brother.

And indeed, right from the start, that little brother did not get along with her.

"Sister Elena, let’s go call Brother Axel," Liam suggested, ignoring Stella’s absurd question. Taking Elena’s hand, he headed towards her room.

Elena nodded and agreed, and the two went hand in hand to call Axel.

"Stella, Dad isn’t home, and you’re not familiar with the servants we’ve hired, are you? Why don’t you play with Kent and Axel? Dad will pick you up when he’s done with work," Daisy Willow said softly to Stella, trying to calm her.

"Hmph." Stella Carrington was displeased, but she knew Daisy was not going to take her back, and besides, Daisy was right; she wasn’t familiar with the servants at home.

Not everyone was submissive; she had encountered servants who were fiercer than her before. When the adults were not around, and only she was home, the servants were not afraid of her at all.

Forget it, she would just put up with it a little longer. For Axel’s sake, who would be coming over later. That boy was indeed quite handsome. Although he had no regard for her, he was still pleasant to look at.

Moreover, they hadn’t seen each other for a while; she wondered if Axel had grown taller. Every day, she heard Elena talking to Axel through video calls, and sometimes when she passed by, she couldn’t help but stop and look at the person in the video longer, even sneaking glances that Elena never knew about.

Axel was brought over by Emily Hill, who also stayed behind. She got along well with Daisy’s mother. So, Daisy Willow and Millie Campbell stayed at home with the children, while Emily went with Daisy’s mother to the nearby marketplace to buy groceries.

Axel was unaware that Stella Carrington and Liam Carrington were at Elena’s house; he brought only two presents, two boxes of Egg Tarts from Aunt Avery’s store.

One was for Elena, and the other was for Kent. As a result, Stella and Liam got nothing.

"I’m sorry, I thought it was just you and Kent at home. I didn’t expect there to be two more guests," Axel said to Elena.

"It’s okay, we can all eat together," Elena didn’t mind. "Thank you, Axel, for bringing us something delicious."

"Yeah, right, Axel," Evelyn commented, not so antagonistic towards Axel anymore, but he knew Elena had more news from him than he did, and that made him jealous.

"Let’s just open it and eat together; looks like Liam is drooling already," Axel said, as he watched Liam with a greedy look, trying not to laugh.

In the end, the youngsters managed to play harmoniously in the living room, and seeing that Stella integrated with them, Daisy Willow finally felt relieved.

After lunch, Simon Carrington finally rushed back home.
