The two women met at the downstairs door and then came up together.

"The children are still sleeping, so let’s not disturb them. Let’s just leave them a note," Avery’s mother put down the breakfast and planned to leave.

"I want to wait for them to wake up before I leave, I want Avery to pick something..."
