Chapter 1069: 026 Newlyweds like nesting swallows, aunt breaks the appointment_15

The two women met at the downstairs door and then came up together.

When they opened the door, the room was tidy and not as chaotic as they had imagined. Nancy Sallow immediately felt a bit embarrassed. Could it be that her son was not up to the task?

She had tampered with the wine the day before, so Bernard Taylor wasn’t drunk, and since he was sober, shouldn’t he know what newlyweds are supposed to do on their wedding night? Isn’t any grown man supposed to know that?

She knew it, her son had been abstinent for too long, and in the long run, how could that be good for his health?

If Avery looks down on him, that would be unacceptable.

Avery’s mother, however, didn’t have such thoughts as Nancy Sallow. Seeing that the children were still not up, she placed breakfast on the dining table and looked up to ask Nancy Sallow, "My dear, have you eaten yet? I made quite a lot, do you want some?"

"No need, I’ve already eaten at home," Nancy Sallow shook her head in refusal. She didn’t eat much for breakfast, usually just a glass of milk, paired with a banana, or a small piece of bread was enough.

She needed to maintain her figure at all times.

"The children are still sleeping, so let’s not disturb them. Let’s just leave them a note," Avery’s mother put down the breakfast and planned to leave.

"I want to wait for them to wake up before I leave, I want Avery to pick something..." Nancy Sallow was speaking when, at the moment she bent down to pick up a poster, she saw inside the trash can beside the coffee table—a pregnancy test that Bernard Taylor had thrown there the previous day, clearly showing two lines, "Dear, dear ... dear, come and take a look at this."

"What’s wrong?" Avery’s mother came over, not understanding why Nancy Sallow suddenly became so excited.

"That, isn’t that a pregnancy test? And it’s showing two lines, right?" Nancy Sallow didn’t mind the dirt at all, and excitedly pulled out the item from the trash can that made her tremble with joy.

She had thought her son was inadequate, but not only was he capable, had they also created a baby? Was that the case?

"Yes." Avery’s mother nodded. She was equally thrilled. Look at this—double happiness on the horizon. Hadn’t they just gotten married, and the very next day, the baby followed?

"Then let’s hurry and wake them up, let them have breakfast early, and after breakfast, we’ll go to the Hospital to get a blood test to confirm the pregnancy," Nancy Sallow was very excited, and then stashed all the travel posters into the trash.

If Avery is really pregnant, then she definitely can’t travel far.

If they were to go out, they would find somewhere close by to have fun for a few days, and they would all go together with Avery’s parent to always take care of her.

The first three months are indeed the most crucial.

"Yes, sure." Avery’s mother was also very happy, and the two went to knock on the Main Bedroom door.

Actually, Bernard Taylor had already woken up when Nancy Sallow excitedly called out to her in-law. However, Avery was still asleep, so he continued to hold her and let her sleep without getting up.

Little did he know, the two mothers would come knocking on their door to wake them up.

When the knock came, Avery also opened her eyes, murmuring in a drowsy state, "Who’s at our house this early?"

"It’s our moms," Bernard Taylor whispered in Avery’s ear.

"What?" Avery was immediately fully awake. Why were their mothers here so early in the morning, and they were still in bed? Avery said as she tried to turn over and get up, but Bernard Taylor held her back, "Take it easy, no rush."

Bernard Taylor put on a robe and went to open the door, "Mom, you’ve arrived. Go sit in the living room. We’ll be right out after we freshen up."

With that, Bernard Taylor closed the door again.

Nancy Sallow and Avery’s mother then quietly went to the living room to wait. After all, they already knew, so there was no rush.

Both of their faces were beaming with happy smiles.

When Avery came out, both mothers stood up to support her from either side. In her surprise, Avery’s mother spoke up first, "Avery, you tell us—how can you be pregnant and not say a word to us?"

Avery immediately turned her head to look at Bernard Taylor. She didn’t know he was such a blabbermouth. They had only found out yesterday, and had Bernard Taylor already spread the word?

"Don’t glare at Bernard Taylor. If it hadn’t been for your mother-in-law finding the pregnancy test in the trash can, we still wouldn’t have known," Avery’s mother said sternly. Avery clearly spoiled by Bernard Taylor, daring to glare at someone right in front of her mother-in-law.

Avery and Bernard Taylor: "..."

The couple exchanged a glance, both rather helpless.
