Chapter 1068: 026 Newlyweds like nesting swallows, aunt breaks the appointment_14
Actually, it was very likely she was pregnant, but Bernard Taylor wanted to check Avery Graham’s progesterone levels to see how they were doing. If the progesterone numbers looked good, there was a nice place they could go to for their honeymoon.
Whether it was for three days or a week, going out would count as a honeymoon.
"..." What exactly was he coaxing with this? Even more irritated, Avery obediently went to take a bath.
Avery took the nightgown she planned to wear into the bathroom, first removing her makeup, then letting her hair down, and finally washing her hair and bathing. By the time she finished, another hour had passed.
Bernard Taylor prepared a dry towel and a hairdryer. First, he gently dried Avery’s wet hair with the towel, and then used the hairdryer to help her dry it completely.
"The bed is ready, let’s sleep, I’m going to take a shower too," said Bernard Taylor with a smile. "Oh, and by the way, I have some news that might make you happy, honey."
"What is it? Let’s hear it first." Without him saying anything, how could she be happy?
"Well, I think that Carolline Ruiz is definitely having another son, and we are having a daughter. So, when Bryan Hawkins sees our adorable daughter after she’s born, he will be so angry he’d want to smash into a wall. So, your belly is doing great, and then we can just enjoy watching Bryan Hawkins’s frustrated face."
Bernard Taylor really was terrible, mocking someone else’s shortcomings, especially when that someone was his friend.
But there was nothing he could do about it—Avery was still so angry at the time, so he needed to think of a way to cheer her up and make her happy.
"You really know how to tell? How can you tell?" Avery also knew how much Bryan Hawkins hoped that Carolline Ruiz’s baby was a girl, so if the baby in her belly really was a girl, Bryan Hawkins would definitely be incredibly jealous. Even just thinking about it made her feel quite amused.
Indeed, Avery was happy now.
Bernard Taylor felt quite accomplished. "This is just intuition."
Bernard Taylor didn’t know how to explain his reasoning; he just felt it was so.
"Alright, go take a shower," Avery urged him, rarely talking him into it.
With things as they were, what else could she do?
Fortunately, they had not planned any honeymoon trips, otherwise, coming back midway would have been too much.
However, thinking about it made her feel quite miserable too. At least Carolline Ruiz and Celia Wade were both out on trips, and here she was, not even out the door yet, held back by the little one in her belly.
But no matter what, Avery still couldn’t quite believe that there really was a little treasure in her belly. If it really was a little princess, as Bernard Taylor said, she hoped the baby would be more like Bernard Taylor because she had to admit he was prettier.
If the baby looked like her, it would be somewhat unfortunate.
Bernard Taylor took a quick shower. When he came out, he saw Avery tenderly touching her belly with a gentle expression. He smiled slightly, knowing she was just as excited as he was about their child.
He carelessly dried his hair and climbed into bed, pulling Avery into his arms. "Avery, I feel so happy. Tomorrow we’ll go for a blood test, and if the progesterone and other indices are normal, we’ll travel. We won’t go abroad, just somewhere within the country. You pick a place, and we’ll go there, okay?"
"Mm, alright," Avery nodded.
That night, because the condition of Avery’s body was still unclear, Bernard Taylor’s wedding night involved just holding Avery and falling into a deep sleep.
They were truly exhausted today, and recently both had been very tired, so they fell asleep almost simultaneously. The soft orange wall light cast their gentle faces in a perfect and warm picture.

The next day, while they were still asleep, Nancy Sallow and Avery’s mother had already arrived with a spare key.
Avery’s mother brought breakfast, thinking that since the two of them were living alone and hadn’t hired a servant or anything, no one was there to cook, so she couldn’t help but bring over the breakfast she made to check on them.
Nancy Sallow brought several travel brochures, both domestic and international, because she knew they hadn’t had the time to discuss honeymoon plans before.
After finishing everything yesterday, Nancy Sallow had nothing else to do, so she had searched online last night and picked up the brochures from the front of the Travel Agency this morning.
