Chapter 1066: 026 Newlyweds like nesting swallows, aunt breaks the appointment_12

Wearing high heels all day, her feet really were dead tired, her toes must have been blistered, since she even felt pain in the soles of her feet and her toes while walking earlier.

After changing her shoes, Avery Graham rushed to the sofa to sit down, the few steps she ran were so painful that she grimaced.

Bernard Taylor hurried over, lifted her feet, and saw that the soles of her feet were already red, luckily not blistered, except for two water blisters on her big toes.

"I’ll go and get some hot water for a foot soak." Usually, Avery isn’t used to wearing such high heels, but today being the wedding, it was quite special.

After Bernard Taylor had prepared the hot water, he added a bit of cold water, then carried the basin out. Avery saw it and stopped him, "Take it to the Health Room, there’s a carpet here in the living room, it might get wet later."

"Sit tight, it won’t get wet. And if it does, it doesn’t matter." Bernard Taylor didn’t mind at all, he knelt down, gently lifted up Avery’s feet, and placed them in the basin, his hands submerged in the water, massaging Avery’s feet.

After massaging for a while, Avery finally felt much better, "I didn’t realize you had this skill."

"There’s a lot you don’t know about me, you’ll slowly find out." Bernard Taylor said with a smile, a deep meaning in his laughter.

"..." Avery was speechless, not knowing if it was her own dirty mind, but she felt like Bernard Taylor’s last four words sounded really wicked, and that smile was even more so.

After the soak, Bernard Taylor produced a new towel from somewhere and began to dry Avery’s feet. Avery watched as he did it with such care that she felt incredibly sweet inside.

"Wife, you worked hard today." Seeing Avery’s feet, which were once flawlessly fair, now abused like this, Bernard Taylor suddenly felt a surge of reluctance and heartache. If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have let her wear such high heels; it truly was a torment.

"Not at all, every woman has this day, they’re not tired, if I complain, wouldn’t that be too pretentious?" Avery said with a smile, shaking her head, "That, I want to have a look at our wedding photos, shall we look at them together, is that okay?"

It was still early, and Avery didn’t want to sleep so soon. Watching TV again felt too noisy.

"Okay, I’ll go get them, wait for me." Bernard Taylor smiled and nodded, he first poured away the foot bath water, then went back to the bedroom to change into home clothes before bringing out several photo albums.

He sat down on the sofa and asked Avery, "Do you want to change into something more comfortable first?"

Avery was still wearing the cheongsam she had on for the toasting, which was very pretty, but now that she was home, she could wear something more comfortable.

"I’ll change after the bath, let’s look at the photos first." Avery shook her head; she hadn’t had time to properly look at the photos since they arrived, and they had been selected rather hastily too.

"Mhm." Bernard Taylor indulged her, extending his hand to embrace her, pulling her close to him.

Leaning on each other lazily, they slowly admired their photos. Avery looked very seriously; she hadn’t been meticulous on the day they picked them, but now, looking at these enlarged and developed photos, they were quite impressive.

Whenever Avery’s gaze lingered longer on a photo, Bernard Taylor narrated the moment it was captured to her. The couple browsed through the albums for over an hour.

It wasn’t until Avery’s stomach growled that she felt quite embarrassed; in a rush to see off the guests, she only had a bowl of White Fungus and Lotus Seed Soup for dinner, while Bernard Taylor had just a small bowl of noodles before they both went out.

It would be strange if they were not hungry now.

"What would you like to eat? Charles Barkley sent me a few boxes of pastries," Bernard Taylor asked, "Or I can cook some noodles for you."

"Let’s not, some pastries will do. Did you buy any coffee on the way back?" Avery craved coffee again, even instant coffee would be good enough.

If she had known, she would have ordered coffee yesterday afternoon and indulged herself completely.

"No, where would I find the time for that?" Bernard Taylor shook his head, he fetched the bread and cake, then brought out two boxes of milk and two boxes of dairy drinks for Avery to choose from.

Avery chose the dairy drink, she didn’t feel like having milk.

"Then remember to remind me to buy it tomorrow when we go out." Avery drank her dairy drink, reminding Bernard Taylor.

She used to have at least one cup of coffee every day, it had been so many days since she last had coffee.

"What’s the date today?" Avery suddenly looked up and asked Bernard Taylor.
