Madame Ren glanced at her daughter and saw the worried expression on her face. She couldn’t help but frown and said, "Xue’er, has Leng Xuan not come back yet?"

Ling Xuejiu shook her head and replied, "No, I don’t even know where he could have gone." As she spoke, she glanced at her father, Ling Ao, and said, "Dad, should we call the police?"

Old Master Ling said, "Then why do I hear water noise coming from that room?"

With that thought, she turned to look at the window. The window had been open before, but now it was closed, so she immediately understood that Cold Bodyguard must have climbed in through the window. Ling Xuejiu’s thoughts were quite similar to Li Mengjie’s. They exchanged glances but said nothing.

"Let’s wait outside for now," Old Master Ling suggested after hearing Leng Xuan’s voice and let out a slight sigh of relief. Although he knew about Leng Xuan’s identity and that ordinary people wouldn’t be able to harm Leng Xuan, he was still concerned that his arch enemy might have taken action himself. If that were the case, Leng Xuan’s fate would be unpredictable. That was why he had been worried after receiving a call from Ling Xuejiu and waited until the afternoon before calling her several times to ask about Leng Xuan. Seeing that he still hadn’t returned to his granddaughter’s place, he decided to come over with his son and daughter-in-law personally to check.

Now that Leng Xuan was back, Old Master Ling naturally didn’t worry anymore and led the way out!

After everyone sat down on the living room sofa, Madame Ren was the first to express her confusion, "Xue’er, if Leng Xuan was clearly in his room, why did you say he hasn’t come back yet?"
