Chapter 221: Chapter – 200 – Let’s Proceed

Duhnkan’s Point Of View

Omega Dai Kai Facility

"Sir, the new research data analysis for Auhmenyss has been delivered." Kashin said as he entered my office.

"Any changes?" I asked looking up from the document I had been looking over.

"Yes, well... It would appear that his genome is becoming more unstable by the day. Also, his ruts are becoming much more aggressive and frequent as well..." He replied, setting the new documents down atop my desk.

I gritted my teeth in frustration as I picked up the papers. Unlike the other facilities, Omega Dai Kai was a facility that specialized in the creation of Ultimate Alphas.

In the past, we worked collaboratively with our sister facility Daize Omega Zine in Delgaide. When we received the information that they had successfully created a perfect Omega, we used that information to create his Alpha counterpart.

The government had set a two-headed plan in motion to help the population fight the current crisis it was facing. If we couldn’t create an infallible Omega, we would attempt to make an infallible Alpha instead.

The government was desperate and determined to end the unknown sterilization of the Alpha population. In my opinion, the country didn’t need more Omegas, they needed more Alphas who could procreate freely.

I jumped head first into our research after receiving the intel about the potential infallible Omega, and successfully created 5 Infallible Hyper-Dominant Alphas. Three of which were females, and the other two were males.

Of the 5 Alphas that we had created, only one of them was uniquely compatible with Omega 11-352. The problem was, that due to this unique compatibility, Auhmenyss could not withstand the pheromones of any Omegas we presented to him.

This wasn’t necessarily an issue in the beginning. However, once Auhmenyss had come in contact with 11-352 during an experimental operation after he had come of age, his genome had began to change and became unpredictable.

His ruts had also become more frequent as well. During his impromptu ruts, he would become aggressive and take anyone who got too close to him. There had been a few occasions that he had even hospitalized some of the unfortunate victims of his aggressions.

We had petitioned Daize Omega Zine to allow the two to meet in order to stabilize Auhmenyss’s genome. However, the facility had gone radio silent, and did not contact us again.

It wasn’t until much later that we had understood why. The news of the raid on our sister facility going public shook us to the core. The loss of 11-352 was profound, and we were left floundering about trying to find a solution to our newest and unprecedented problem.

A few years later, I received a call from Shaihffer, the current Director of the Judicials Branch. He had informed me that he would assist in funding the facility, and also that he knew where 11-352 was and that he would procure him for us.

I became instantly skeptical and wary of his intentions. There was absolutely no way that he was doing any of this out of the kindness of his heart.

When I had inquired about what he wanted in return for his sudden magnanimity, he had simply requested unlimited access to the Omega.

The deal seemed too good to be true, but we were running out of time and options. Ultimately, I had no choice but to acquiesce and agree with his shady plan.

Even with all my doubts clouding my mind, news had broke that the government was forcefully flushing out the Golden Goose Omega, and actively turning the public against him.

Hope had once again began to flourish within our facility. We had even been able to complete a concrete formula for our ultimate Alpha creation as well. Everything was starting to look up after nearly a decade of a bleak and dreary future.

That is until Auhmenyss became even more unstable than before. We were out of time, and I could feel the noose slowly tightening around my neck.

"Sir?" Kashin prompted, shaking me from my tumultuous thoughts.

"Where is he? I will go see him myself." I replied, ignoring the apparent worried expression permeating his face.

"Sir? Uh, um... He is currently in his room, I believe... But, Sir...? Is it wise to see him right now?" Kashin asked, hesitantly.

"Why? Worried that he might attempt to take me?" I asked dryly.

"No, Sir... I’m merely concerned that he might have a negative reaction to your oppressive pheromones..." Kashin replied nervously.

"It’s fine. I simply wish to gage his condition in person." I said, standing up from my desk and heading for the door.

"Understood, Sir..." Kashin said reluctantly.

He then escorted me down to the living quarters of the Alpha resident test subjects. I could tell by his pace that he was becoming increasingly nervous the closer we got to his room.

"You may leave now, Kashin." I said, once we arrived at Auhmenyss’s door.

"Sir?" He said, looking back at me in obvious shock.

"You are far too nervous to assist me, and I will be fine on my own. After all, i did not come here unprepared." I said with a wry smile.

"U-Understood, Sir. If you’ll excuse me then..." He said, before quickly retreating back the way we had come.

I unlocked the door, and then slowly entered the room. The room was dark, the only sorce of light came from a small desk lamp atop his desk in a far corner.

"What is it that you want?" Auhmenyss said, his low voice practically growling.

"I just came to see and touch base with you, Auhmenyss. No need to be so hostile." I chuckled.

"Touch base, huh? You want to touch me?" He asked, his voice dripping with disgust.

"Ha! Hardly. I wanted to see how you were holding up. And also if there was anything I could do for you." I replied.

"You want to do something for me? Then release me... I will find my Omega on my own." He said curtly.

"Haah... You know I cannot do that. There are far too many unknown variables, and it is far too risky." I said with a heavy sigh.

"Too risky? Why? Afraid that I might run away and never return?" He retorted.

"Well, that certainly is a possibility. You care more about your lost Omega, than you do about our scientific advancements." I replied.

"You can’t keep me here forever. I will get out of here and find my Omega whether you like it or not!" He growled.

’How terrifying...’
