Chapter 108: Chapter - 108 A Deadlock
Sylvester’s Point Of View
My mind was in shambles. I had been so caught up in my anger and rage that I had neglected my connection with Tristan. I wasn’t sure what was happening, but I knew I couldn’t leave to go help him without first saving the kids.
"It’s seems you have more important things to worry about at the moment, no?" Danhiel sneered.
"Last I checked, that’s none of your fucking business. Release the Omegas and you can go about your way." I replied.
Though we had no intentions of letting either man go, Kaleb had been looking between Ezekihel and Nohrah worried for a while now. I got the feeling there were weapons behind their backs. I didn’t want to be the reason anyone was killed or paralyzed, and we didn’t bring a medical team with us.
"Oho? You’ll let us go you say? Strange how I don’t believe you." Danhiel replied, sarcastically.
"Believe what you want, but we are under strict orders not to kill you. So release the Omegas and we will go. That’s the only reason we are here to begin with..." Ferdinand sighed.
We were all getting increasingly annoyed. Everything was going to shit around us and we were being held at a stand still while the kids were basically being used as human shields.
"And if we don’t release them? To be honest, you only have claim to 3 of them. Two of them belong to me by right." The other man said.
"I’m sure I don’t know what you mean. If you took them from my house, then they belong with us. People are not objects to be owned, asshole." Ferdinand said with a glare.
"That is where you’d be wrong. All of Ezekihel’s birthing information is located here in my facility. I own that Omega, whether he likes it or not." The man said, moving closer to Ezekihel’s back.
"If you continue to stand in my way, there won’t be a facility with documentation left standing. Did you assume we only knew about only one of your exits? We have already hacked into your entire system, and copied the files to our own hard drives, while simultaneously deleting them from your own systems. You own nothing." Meyhymn sneered.
He was doing a fine job reigning in his anger, but anyone who knew him knew that he was well past his limits.
"Y-You what? That’s not possible!" The man yelled, looking both confused and furious.
"It’s very possible. Don’t you remember Delgaide? Just who do you think was responsible for the complete deletion of their systems? Who do you think determined what information would be left behind for others to find?" Meyhymn said, with the most overbearing shit eating grin I had ever seen him make.
"But you had to physically be in the facility to accomplish that. Yet here you stand unable to progress any further. You lie. It’s so obvious." Danhiel said, rolling his eyes.
"We’re not lying. It was a pain having to split up our forces last time to save and to destroy simultaneously. So we’ve upgraded our tech since then. We decided to corrupt your systems ahead of time and get all of the files beforehand, so we could focus completely on the rescue. If you don’t believe me then look it up." Ferdinand shrugged.
We had indeed corrupted the files after extracting all the data we needed and deleted everything else. When we were leaving, we tasked Jahcobe with unsealing the doors. Since the hotel team had now been compromised, we couldn’t audaciously boast about being in their systems anymore. But they didn’t need to know that.
The man hesitated for a brief moment before placing his right hand behind his back. He then reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone. While he was momentarily distracted, I pushed Nohrah and Ezekihel out of the way and noticed the gun in his left hand.
I sliced the tendons in his left wrist with my knife, causing him to drop the gun and his phone. Meyhymn grabbed Ezekihel, while Ferdinand grabbed Nohrah.
"You fucking prick! This was all a distraction technique!?" The man yelled angrily, as he clutched his wrist to his chest.
"No. What we said was true. We did indeed hack your shit. However, in war, if you see an opportunity open up for a win, you take it. No matter the cost." I grinned smugly.
"Haah... must I do everything myself?" Danhiel sighed, while glaring at the other man.
"I’m only going to say this one more time. Release the Omegas and you may go on your way. Continue to stand there with your thumb up your ass, and I’ll make sure you never walk again. Just because we can’t kill you, doesn’t mean we can’t injure you." Ferdinand said.
"Haha! Big words from someone unable to carry out his threats. I wonder who it was that told you not to kill me...? It was probably my mother, she wants so badly to be in my good graces now." Danhiel cackled.
"I’m growing tired of your bullshit!" Meahlene yelled.
She then stomped towards him angrily, and the other man stood in her way, still clutching his wrist. He looked furious however, the only problem was he was currently trying to intimidate the wrong woman.
"Oho? What a set of balls on this guy! Move now, asshole! Or I’ll blow those balls smooth off your body! Danhiel may be spared from death, but they made no such barter for your life. And in case it’s unclear to you just how pissed off I am, I saw you thoroughly enjoying yourself in front of my precious grand babies and I’ll have you answer for your deplorable behavior soon enough!" Meahlene snarled, as she pressed a pistol into the man’s crotch.
The man, Danhiel, and all of the Omegas froze immediately and stared at Meahlene in absolute shock. They were no doubt realizing what she had said, and that it hadn’t been a bluff when we said we hacked their systems.
"Ha! It seems it wasn’t just a bluff after all. Which means either you were a more formidable hacker than I gave you credit for, or our information was lacking and Rahzden was even more useless than we initially thought." Danhiel chortled.
This time it was our turn to freeze. He had received information about Rahzden, and that could only mean one of two things. Either we had a mole, or Danhiel had spies in Demhongade.
"I. Said. Move!" Meahlene gritted out.
The man, stupid as he was, did not move. He only stood there with a taunting smirk on his face.
"You could never shoot me in front of your precious grand–"
*BLAM!*
"AAAAHHH! YOU FUCKING BITCH!" The man screamed.
The man dropped down to the ground holding his now bleeding groin, and Meahlene then squat down to meet his eyes, while placing the gun muzzle under his chin.
"I want you to look into my eyes and hear me loud and clear. Putting your hands on my grandchildren and my son-in-law is a grievous offense. Punishable by death. My grand babies know and understand this, completely. You’d best spend the remainder of your last moments lamenting the fact that you were too stupid to comprehend my anger. And too stubborn to take my warning as a threat. I hope you bleed out slowly, and never get the chance to see your filthy cock rise again!" Meahlene sneered.
Then she stood up and kicked him directly in his face, hard. There was a resounding crunch as his nose no doubt broke and he collapsed, unconscious.
"Now. Danhiel was it? I see you are still holding my grandchildren in your despicable hands. Would you also like to never use your cock again?" Meahlene asked, slowly approaching him.
No one stopped her, and no one assisted her either. I had been around Bellamy’s family long enough to know they would let all of Delgahtowe burn to the ground if it meant Bellamy was safe. Now that they had adopted the kids into their familial ranks, there was no telling what lengths they would go to, to ensure the safety of the children.
"Oho? But you’d have to get past your beloved grandchild in order to pull that off, no?" He replied, sardonically.
"Hmph. Celestine, sweetie...? Would you be a dear and sever this man’s arm from his body? Afterwards we will need you to cauterize the remaining arm. Can’t have him bleeding out, right...?" Meahlene asked, not taking her eyes off of Danhiel for even a moment.
"It would be my genuine pleasure, ma’am." Celestine replied, stepping forward and removing her sword from its sheath in a slow fluid motion.
’Sheesh... women are terrifying...’
Danhiel immediately removed his hand from Kaleb’s hair, and then made the foolish decision of clutching Arrisa with both hands.
"Kaleb, go to your uncle’s side, now. Ari, sweet pea, don’t move. Grandma Meah doesn’t want to accidentally cut you while I’m carving out this fool’s eye." Meahlene said, as she grabbed a fist full of Danhiel’s hair.
"You crazy bitch! What if I drop her!?" Danhiel yelled, as he was being forcibly brought down to his knees.
"Simple. You’d lose both eyes, and your useless cock, for even allowing her feet to hit the ground." Meahlene smirked.
"Then how the fuck am I supposed to put her down you dumb bitch!?" He yelled angrily, while pausing in his attempt to set Arrisa down.
"Payhne!" Meahlene yelled.
Payhne was there in an instant, and scooped Arrisa up into his arms. She placed her forehead against his and grabbed his cheeks with both hands.
"You took too long... I was really scared, y’know?" Arrisa whispered tearfully.
"I’m sorry. It won’t happen again. I swear it. I’m never leaving your side again, promise." Payhne said, hugging her close.
Suddenly, there was a loud explosion behind us, and the door swung open. It was clear that dawn was beginning to break, but the slightly lit skyline was quickly blocked by a swarm of men.
