Chapter 106: Chapter - 106 But I Can Get Angry
Lyukhe’s Point Of View
"Well I don’t envy those boys..." I sighed, as we began to head to our entry point.
"Why? What’s happening?" Bennhayzin asked, looking worried.
For a while now he had been seething with anger. You would never guess by looking at his face that he was even slightly upset. If anything he looked bored and disinterested. However his eyes were absolutely fuming. His thick pheromones were overwhelming as well. He wanted to go with Ferdinand’s group, but he couldn’t calm down at all. So he just agreed to meet them in Hastings office instead.
"Well... word is, they can’t kill Danhiel anymore... something about needing him taken alive..." I replied.
"They what!?" Bennhayzin yelled, turning to face me.
A lesser man would have surely pissed themselves. I however knew his anger wasn’t directed at me personally, so I was unaffected.
"Look, I’m just telling you what they told me. If we make it to them first, we can’t kill Danhiel... pretty sure that other bastard is fair game though." I replied with a shrug.
"Haaaah... Everything about this sucks..." Bennhayzin grumbled.
He said that, but he seemed even more bloodthirsty now, than he was before. Suddenly, I didn’t feel nearly as pissed off anymore. My anger couldn’t even be compared to Bennhayzin’s. I was more annoyed than anything else, but Bennhayzin seemed to take it all personally.
We settled into position around the door. There was Bennhayzin at the front, followed by me, Azailen, Nashsten, Dyahgeo, and 5 of Zachariah’s men. Santiago had agreed to separate his men two at a time to help with communication and attack power. Nashsten and Dyahgeo looked as if they were going to go on a murderous rampage at any moment. I was suddenly feeling as though I should have stayed back at the hotel.
"Welp, I’m not promising any stupid shit like that. If I make it to him first, I’ll kill him, then blame it on you not relaying the message sooner." Benn shrugged as we came to a stop by the door.
I could only stare at him in shock. The fact that he planned to lie, and lie on me in the process, was ridiculous. I looked around, realizing that I had let Jehferee go with Santiago and that I now had no one on my side. It was unbelievable.
"Bennhayzin, if you plan to disregard orders and put my master and his mate in danger. Then I am obligated to relay said information to my master, and also responsible for dealing with you swiftly and efficiently." Nashsten said, looking every bit the murderous Assassin.
"Haaah... you guys just suck the fun out of everything..." Bennhayzin said glaring at us.
"Let’s just focus on getting as many Omegas to safety as possible. I doubt we’ll make it there first anyway..." I sighed.
Everyone nodded in agreement, albeit reluctantly, then stopped in front of the door. The mood instantly shifted as if the atmosphere had turned black. Bennhayzin let out a deep sigh as he gripped the handle tightly. He gripped the handle so tight that he bent the handle into a misshapen figure.
Then Bennhayzin suddenly tensed up. His pheromones blasted out from his body to a suffocating degree. I grit my teeth and glared between him and the door. Then he held up a hand and clenched it into a tight fist.
Everyone waited on bated breath for him to open the door. I was genuinely hoping that Danhiel was not on the other side if that door. Personally I didn’t think I had a snowballs chance in hell stopping Bennhayzin on a rampage. Sylvester’s men looked and seemed capable, but I couldn’t be certain. It would probably take all three of us just to pin him down.
Bennhayzin yanked the door open, shattering the handle in the process, and scaring the occupants on the other side of the door in one fell swoop. They were just Omegas trying to escape. Strange, since Rahzden had said no one else knew about the exits.
"Well, well. What have we here? Looks like Rahzden lied after all... Not surprising... Fucking snake..." Bennhayzin said with a sigh.
It would appear that we were having similar thoughts on the matter.
"Uhm... please let us pass... we don’t want to be caught up... in any wars..." A young boy with dark gray hair and piercing green eyes said.
There looked to be four of them, and they were heavily blessed in the looks department. It was honestly kind of unnerving, considering what the scientists had in mind when creating them.
Bennhayzin stepped aside to show the entire platoon of Alphas ready for war, then hiked a thumb in my direction.
"Follow that guy, there is a safe space we are putting all the Omegas so they aren’t hurt in this skirmish. So behave will you? No one on this side will hurt you, we were actually ordered not to harm a single Omega in our assault. So please try not to get hurt, that sounds like it’d be quite the headache to deal with..." Bennhayzin said, as he began to enter the cavernous hall.
"We have a cloaked vehicle over here. We flew it over via helicopter so it’s been placed off roads already. My name is Lyukhe, and we are here on a rescue mission. So please trust us." I said trying to dissuade them from running.
When I mentioned a rescue mission, the boy with white hair sat up immediately. He had been laying on the back of a boy with blue hair, but now he was staring directly at me and I was frozen in place.
"You’re here to... rescue someone...?" Another boy asked.
I couldn’t answer, I was being held captive by his bright blue eyes. They were so big and so pure and so soothing I didn’t know what to do.
"Tell me, what’s your name?" I asked the boy who hadn’t broken eye contact yet.
"I-It’s... Wahrryn..." He murmured.
"Well then Wahrryn do you mind if I carry you?" I asked without thinking.
"Yes! I fucking mind! What the hell is happening here? And why am I being ignored?!" The boy holding him exclaimed.
"It’s fine Mahxim... he won’t... hurt us..." Wahrryn groaned.
"How would you know? Also need I remind you that you’re in heat? He could take you right here and now!" Mahxim yelled.
For a while now I had been smelling a mango citrus scent that was an amazing scent. I just chucked it up to them thoroughly cleaning themselves, but it turned out to be his pheromones. It was a divine scent if it was coming from just one person. I could breathe it in all day until I collapsed.
"Yet he’s been here all this time breathing it in, and hasn’t once been even the slightest bit forceful. What does that tell you Mahxim?" Wahrryn said.
"It tells me that you’re not thinking clearly. He could say anything we want to hear right now, then trap us all over again! Is that what you want?" Mahxim yelled.
Wahrryn placed his head back down on the boys shoulder, still looking my way. I was becoming irritated that the boy was still acting skittish, so I plucked Wahrryn from the boy’s back in one swift motion.
"For the record, I took a suppressant designed for an Omega much stronger than you. It’ll be fine. Also we are kind of in a hurry so I need you guys to get to safety as fast as possible." I said as I adjusted my hold on Wahrryn.
When I glanced down at the boy completely, my mouth went dry and my outrage hit its maximum capacity. I couldn’t understand why I was so upset since I hardly knew the boy, but anger was over taking me nonetheless.
"Tell me something Wahrryn... who the hell mistreated you in such a horrible way?" I asked, pressing my forehead to his.
He didn’t answer me, but it seemed like he was taking comfort in my anger for him. I turned my head towards the others, who all but tripped over their own feet in horrified shock.
"Don’t glare at them. They are my family... It wasn’t them... it was... M-Master Danhiel..." Wahrryn replied softly.
’Well, well, Well... looks like I understand Bennhayzin now... I’m praying for your slow and painful death asshole...’
"Haaah... well luckily you won’t have to worry about that asshole anymore. Can you guys stay here and keep quiet? I need to go rescue as many Omegas as I can, and kill anyone who gets in my way." I said to them, as they climbed into the large bus.
I sat Wahrryn down on a seat, and he held on to me firmly. I looked down at him, perplexed by the sudden dependency.
"You’ll come back won’t you?" He asked, trembling.
"I swear it." I replied.
"Do we have to go to another facility? Or can we stay with you?" He asked.
I couldn’t give him an answer, because a sudden explosion shook the van. I nodded to the kids, then turned around to head out of the van, and witnessed a massive crater in the ground. Then I watched as a tank lined up its shot at the door. The N.A.F. had arrived, and they didn’t seem to be on our side...
’Haaah.... Fuck...’
