Chapter 105: Chapter - 105 A Silent Attack
Tristan’s Point Of View
"Hey, just got word that they can’t kill Danhiel..." Cole said, hanging up his phone.
"What do you mean?!" Gaibe and Zachariah asked simultaneously.
"They received word that ending his life would be catastrophic to Tristan and his siblings future. I don’t know the details but I don’t think anyone is happy about it..." Cole sighed sitting back down.
"Well the only thing I could think of, would be... his mother. She also has an illegitimate child...I wonder who relayed that message and why... what do they know and how much do they know...?" Zachariah said.
"Well I’d definitely like to know that as well... They don’t have the best timing, but they did have good intel." Gaibe added.
I looked over at the monitor. Jahcobe had split the screen 4 ways. One viewing each team. They looked anxious and also ready to kill everyone. Just then, Jaymehsyn walked up to me with a pen and paper in hand.
"Before you get side tracked, how about we come up with the rules for the facilities to follow...?" Jaymehsyn asked.
I nodded and accepted the paper and pen from him. I didn’t have any particularly concrete rules to give, but basic human rights seemed like a good place to start.
Rule #1:Age limits. No testing can be allowed on any Omega before they are 10 years of age. (2nd Gender test not withstanding.)
Rule #2: All Omegas will recieve a full and proper education. Gender and sex education should be properly taught, and information about the facilities and their purpose should be properly explained.
Rule #3:Omegas shouldn’t be used as a payment system. No facility will accept bribes or payments for the use or ownership of Omegas. They are human beings and will be treated as such.
Rule #4: Participating facilities will share their scientific results and findings amongst other participating facilities. (We all make it to the top together or we never get there at all.)
Rule #5: No abuse or mistreatment of Omegas will be tolerated, ever. No matter the reason. If you find that there are problematic Omegas in your facility, contact the proper channels of representatives to look into the situation. We will investigate the incident, personally.
Rule #6: Your facility, your responsibility. The people you allow to work there must be thoroughly vetted. If your staff mistreats the Omegas, consider that as you mistreating them. You must handle these situations swiftly and efficiently. If you allow it to fester due to neglect, and a formal complaint is lodged. You will bear the full responsibility, alongside the accused.
Rule #7: Treat the Omegas in your facility with proper human rights and human decency. No Omega should be treated as an object or a possession. Nurture their growth into people who can benefit this world in a positive and respectable light.
I sat back in my chair and looked over the paper. All things considered, it wasn’t a bad start in my opinion. I just used things I didn’t particularly like from Delgaide and forbid them. There was no way to get around all of the issues that came with creating Omegas. The Omegas from Lore’rahlye were a prime example.
They would have no choice but to act out sexually to survive. That wasn’t their fault and they couldn’t be blamed for it, but it was an obstacle they would need to overcome together. Bellamy leaned his chin onto my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist as he read over the contract too.
"Hmm? Not as unreasonable as it could have been. Haha! Ever the merciful leader I see." He chuckled, kissing the side of my face.
"I mean if I’m being honest, life inside the facility wasn’t terrible itself. It was the testing, and daily sexual assault before I even understood what it was, that was the problem. I didn’t even learn what a Hyper-Dominant Alpha was until I met you guys. Does that seem logical?" I asked.
My statement made all the other Alphas look up at me in shock. I didn’t know what to say, so I just stared back awkwardly.
"You guys weren’t taught, anything...?" Gaibe asked, clearly confused.
"No. Our mother’s taught us a bit of the things we might need to know. I read a lot of books from Auntie Maybelline once my mother taught me my letters. But information that encouraged us to be independent or to go against our future owners, was prohibited. They wanted quiet docile pets and nothing more." I replied.
Now that we had no home to speak of, I was really worried about the Omegas that came with us from Delgaide. I was hoping that one of the Kings would take them into their new facility. They could become teachers, or an internal affairs group among the facilities. I wasn’t sure, but they would need to be made aware of the situation, sooner rather than later.
"Tristan...?"
"Hmm? Yes, sir?" I replied.
I hadn’t realized Zachariah was speaking to me at all, and Bellamy was clearly not the man’s biggest fan. Considering that he hadn’t even attempted to get my attention, even though I was currently sitting in his lap.
"I asked if I could see the rules that you have come up with." Zachariah replied, smiling softly.
I hung my head in embarrassment and handed the paper to Jaymehsyn, who then took it over to Zachariah for him to read.
"Hmm? Indeed... these are quiet reasonable rules. Who might the representatives be, if you don’t mind me asking." Zachariah said.
"Well I was thinking Lady Dyahlettah and Aidehynn... if they were willing..." I murmured.
"Me, you say? Why is that?" Lady Dyahlettah asked, shocked.
"Well... I can’t really explain it, but I get the feeling that you and your ladies are quite capable. It would also be a great help that you are a Mafia Queen. Things won’t slip past you easily. I also believe the female Omegas would have an easier time talking to you over talking to male Alphas... lastly, you were the first to volunteer to assist me... even though you do not yet have a facility to use..." I replied, nervously.
"Haaah... but mainly because you want to see Shailhade without having to need an excuse though, right?" Bellamy groaned.
I looked up at him in shock. I didn’t understand him at all. It was kind of freaking me out.
’Was it showing on my face? How the hell did he even know that?’
"Yes, Tristan. It’s written all over your face how much you want to go." Cole chuckled.
I grabbed my face in embarrassment and looked around awkwardly. I couldn’t deny that I was excited to go, but that wasn’t the only thing driving my decision.
"And is it safe to assume you chose Aidehynn because of his facility?" Zachariah asked, trying his best not to laugh.
"Yes... That’s part of the reason. I also don’t think he’d lie about the facilities to get my attention, or to curry favor. He also seems like he really wants the facilities to succeed, for his late father’s sake. I think that with Aidehynn and Dyahlettah at the helm, the chain of information won’t be sullied or broken for any petty or malicious reasons. Their subordinates also seem ridiculously competent as well, so they could easily delegate the work, if need be..." I said.
"Well... I will need to talk things over with my girls but–"
"M’Lady... please allow me to oversee this project. No one would dare tell you no, or advise that it’s too much work. I would gladly take on this position for you." The woman standing behind Lady Dyahlettah exclaimed.
"Mahrinette, this is a big position. One much too big for just one person to do on their own..." Lady Dyahlettah said, hesitantly.
"I can do it, and I can always recruit from our ranks. I’m told they have already secured a facility, and they are currently furnishing it as we speak." Mahrinette beamed proudly.
I looked up at her in wide eyed shock. It hadn’t even been a full day yet, and they had somehow found a building and were already furnishing it.
’I was right... her faction is insanely reliable...’
Lady Dyahlettah seemed to also be surprised by this news. She seemed frozen in place as she looked back at Mahrinette.
"If that is what you want, then so be it. Celest will stay by my side, but you can have 3 others assist you once we return. I won’t stand in the way." Lady Dyahlettah, replied.
She seemed overjoyed and also extremely reluctant to put such a burden on the woman’s shoulders.
"Well since they have burned down Ferdinand’s home, if you are willing to put her to the test, I do have some Omega women and children who will need someone to look after them..." I said.
Lady Dyahlettah and Mahrinette looked over at me in shock. Then suddenly, Gaibe and Zachariah stood up abruptly. Their rapid movement, and angry glares set me on edge.
Then, Bellamy tensed up around me, and covered my mouth and nose with his large hands.
"Don’t breathe this in Tristan! We have to get out of here right now!" Bellamy yelled, standing up abruptly as well.
I couldn’t catch my bearings at all, everything was happening way too fast for me to understand any of it. He was also pressing his hand around my nose and mouth so strongly that it was painful.
Suddenly, Gaibe collapsed to the ground like a marionette doll having its strings cut. Lady Dyahlettah collapsed onto the table, her subordinate following the trend.
I looked at Cole and then Zachariah, they both seemed incredibly pissed off and searched the room for intruders, while using their shirts as masks. Jahcobe was next to collapse, then Gaibe’s remaining subordinate collapsed as well.
I was beginning to panic. Everything had been going so well, and then suddenly a silent attack had begun taking us unawares. I wasn’t sure if the attack was meant to kill us, or meant to knock us out, but I didn’t want to wait around to find out.
Jaymehsyn had run to the door first to open it and stepped out. Then Zachariah, Bellamy, and Cole followed. We soon realized the sheer gravity of the situation we were currently in once we exited the room, the entire lobby floor was thickly covered in a gassy smoke.
I looked up at Bellamy worried, and he squeezed me tighter as he began to walk towards the front doors. Then Zachariah and Jaymehsyn collapsed in front of us, and I wanted to scream. With Zachariah down there was no safe place for us to go.
Then, there was a thud behind us and I realized that Cole had now collapsed as well. I looked back up at Bellamy and noticed his face was a deep shade of red. I needed to breathe and so did he.
Suddenly, Bellamy plummeted to the ground with me in his arms. The anger and agony on his face was heartbreaking.
"Run... Tristan... Now..." He groaned out, before going completely lax around me.
I crawled quickly towards the door, but was soon met with a sharp pain to my stomach. My body careened through the air and I crash landed on the ground near the reception desk.
I inadvertently took a deep breath at the pain now coursing through my body, and glanced around to find my would be attacker. I was horrified to see the angry face looking back at me through a gas mask.
’But... why...? How could you...?’
